"It runs gamut from just rudeness up to pretty extreme abusive behaviors." I think maybe a lot of us are guilty of this...;~]

People will do what they can get away with. I can't imagine anyone would allow another person to abuse them verbally, or act like such a fool a person would have their day ruined.

Its an interesting story. There are certain stresses that seem to come out in the workplace. Where I work we've gone thru about 15 layoffs since 2002. And with outsourcing one of the steps was to have people who's job has been outsourced to train their replacements. Which meant late night calls to India, all so you could be replaced.

Desk Rage. Now I know the name of my current affliction. I have to come to Propeller and read a bunch of hostile and insulting comments just to calm down.
SERENITY NOW!
The only damage I do in the workplace is the unintentional variety, but I've noticed plenty of foul moods. The lines between work and private life is so blurry; little wonder that we bring our moods into the workplace. The economy puts lots of workers into survival mode.

It use to be called "going postal"! There is so much stress these days! Never know from day to day when your job will be outsourced.
Everyone need to get some bubble pack and pop the bubbles to relieve some of their on the job stress!
Thanks STONERS!

I can remember when you worked five-days a week, weekends and holidays were your own. I remember planning my vacations, I even remember the annual raises and promotions. We all had dental and hospitalization insurance paid by the employer; sure we had deductibles and co-payments, but we all enjoyed the freedoms only the CEOs now enjoy.
If you want to find the source of this aggravation, look no farther than the financial statements, the "books," the Profit and Loss Statement, and the run away greed of investors. It took unions and hard bargaining to get what we had. We no longer have it. It took the Republicans less than twenty-years to take everything back, leaving us exactly as we were before unions came into being fifty-years ago. And bet the farm if anyone in this country wanted to form a union, they'd have the riot police, TAC-Squad, and National Guard breathing down your neck. You'd be called a commie, a terrorist; not fit to starve to death in our free society.
