Salami said the tests of long- and medium- range missiles were intended to demonstrate Iranian resolve "against enemies who in recent weeks have threatened Iran with a harsh language".

I'm not sure what the author means by "no room for doubt" b/c what this test and comment means to me is that Iran is leaving no doubt that they will respond to an attack harshly. as would we. or any nation for that matter. so why is this news? isn't this the presumed status of a sovereign nation with a military? why isn't the danger alert sounded when the US and Israel rattle sabers without provocation? if this is simply going to be us versus them, then war is inevitable and so is our mutual destruction.
Peace is the answer. Peace. the expressed hope of all peoples, yet the path of so few govts.

It's the fault of the free world that events have reached this alarming level. It should be automatic that a regime such as Tehran's face military action from a coalition of free countries at the instant its nuclear aspirations and multistage missile capabilities become known.
Instead, the world has spent years in self-destructive dawdling, pretending that slaps on the wrist in the form of sanctions would have any real effect.
The self-delusion, sadly, is even found among those employed as professional brains, but whose heads are apparently so crammed that no room remains for common sense.

yeah right, despite the fact that as a sovereign nation and having signed the non-proliferation treaty (israel, pakistan and india have not) iran is fully and legally entitled to do exactly what it has done. threatening war against another nation, as the us and israel have done to iran for doing what it is permitted under international law IS illegal and for THAT the FREE WORLD SHOULD SPEAK UP. but it won't because they are all too afraid to. so much for freedom. the world is not free when it is too afraid to make a sound except for the smack and smooch of the butt-kiss queue. kind of sounds a bit like terrorism don't you think? the world is too terrorized to talk

exactly. no one sounded the alarm when Israel did their missile tests earlier this year, proving they had the capability to bomb tehran from over 1200 miles away. but when iran does a missile test, they're undoubtedly gearing up for war. and the mainstream media just tows the company line at the expense of anything resembling real news.

Look at the dust clouds, the rocket furthest from the rights dust cloud is EXACTLY the same as the 3rd from the right.
The plume of the rocket 2nd from the right is exactly the same as the plume of the rocket 3rd from the right.
It also looks like the rocket closest to the right and the rocket furthest from the right are the same rocket.

They made a big fuss over the missile that was there and was not fired (which was a little later). Not all the missiles were launched simultaneously as you can see form the link below. In the link you can clearly see the first three missiles are fired and just follow the smoke and lilttle later you can see the fourth missile coming up ...it is very obvious ....

The very basis of the threat is "we can have these but you cannot".
The Iranians understand that the last thing the world economy needs right now is a war in the Straits.
I would argue the first thing that needs to stop is the aggressive rhetoric from both the US and Israel regardless of what is being said in Tehran.
Once the temperature goes down a few degrees, we may be able to get something done but the chest pounding is completely unproductive and highly dangerous...

I want a list of every newspaper, news station and all other news reporting agencies, companies or multi-owned corporations that are Jewish Owned and operated. According to you that should include every news agency in the US. Give all names of each board member, CEO, and all corporate officers. If they are publically traded, please provide the names and religion of the owners of the largest blocks of stock. All of your information should be unbiased and come from reliable sources such as Wall Street public records. If you can't provide this information, than I suggest that you shut your mouth because you obviously can't back up your bigoted and patently false accusations. Clearly, the constitution does not protect freedom of speech for those who intend to slander. Now, put up or shut up.

Does apartheid include the Muslim countries which prohibit women from driving, prevent non Muslims from owning land and are considered second class citizens? In which Muslim countries are non Muslims (or for that matter Muslims) allowed to choose their leaders by vote like Muslims are allowed to do in Israel. Which Muslim countries have Jews in their parliaments? Which Muslim citizens of Israel have DNA purity which is Jewish? How many non Muslims are allowed to enter and live in Mecca? The fact that Israel doesn't give it's non citizens on the West Bank and Gaza the same rights that it gives to its citizens in Israel isn't apartheid. If that were true, every nation in the world would be practicing apartheid. Now, answer the above questions and lets see who the real perpetrators of apartheid are. There are 55 Muslim countries in the world. How many give equality to it's female and non muslim citizens? Please be specific country by country. And you bill yourself as antibrainwasher?

While I don't have an opinion on antibrainwasher's anti-zionist crusade, (I haven't done the research and am not likely to anytime soon) I do see a huge disparity in the way we view these 2 nations vs. their actions.
Let's put this in bar-fight terms:
Joe (Israel) says he'll beat up Mike (Iran) if he buys another bottle of beer. (I guess the logic is that beer bottle could be broken and used as a weapon, and Mike might be an angry drunk and try to start a fight.)
Mike says if Joe starts a fight with him, he'll defend himself, and won't give Joe's buddy Steve (the USA) the same courtesy: Mike will assume he's also hostile.
Take the country names out of it and it sounds like a no-brainer. Joe is the aggressor. Mike just wants more beer.
If Steve were a responsible friend, he'd probably advise Joe to back off, but in this case he's egging him on. He's bet money on the fight, and they can't lose: it's 2 against 1, and Steve's way bigger than Mike.

Meanwhile, Steve's girlfriend (the media), not wanting to make Steve out to be a bad guy, fudges the details a little for her friends so that it seems Mike is totally asking for it and playing up how dangerous a weapon that beer bottle (that he doesn't yet have) would be.
Her friends believe her because Mike has always seemed a little strange, he reads funny books and talks with an accent, and they've known Steve and Joe all their lives, and while they DO get into a few more bar fights than most people, they're really not bad guys.

Israelis did threaten Iran with military strike but then Iran showed these missiles and the first thing that happened was that Israeli prime minister's spoke person immediately said they want no war with Iran. The missile test worked once again. This missile test was aimed to send a message to thieves, thugs, and invaders that Iran is not a refugee camp or a country without military and it is willing to defend itself against thieves thugs and invaders.
Israelis are well aware that Iran is not some defenseless refugee camp that they can bomb and get away with it. Israelis also remember that their last military victory was 40 years ago and after that they have lost all their military aggressions including the 33 war in which they could not even defeat a small armed group Hizbullah. For the past 40 years Israelis have formed committees to determine what went wrong and this is why they can bark all they want but that is all . The best solution is to dismantle this Jewish apartheid.
