Bush lawyers told to speed Guantanamo detention appeals »
Posted by: bubba2 1 month, 4 weeks agoA federal judge told Justice Department lawyers to give the cases of Guantanamo detainees appealing their imprisonment priority over all other cases. U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Hogan made the admonition at the first hearing since the Supreme Court ruled last month that the detainees had the right to challenge their imprisonment in court.
