ER patient lies sprawled on the ER waiting room floor for 63 minutes as her life ebbs away and the ER staff does absolutely nothing to help her. Security guards look straight at her and do nothing--not even summon the attention of medical staff. How incredibly sad that this could happen in a major US hospital.

This is incredibly sad for the whole US. This is not a failure by a few staff members of the hospital. It is a failure by hospital management to drill into the heads of its staff what should be done in the case of someone needing help in the ER.
