Madame Pele, goddess of Hawaii's volcanos, is strutting her stuff. Time to toss sacrifices into the crater. Any volunteers (Cheney? Rumsfeld? Rove? anyone?...of course, she may spit them out in anger, then look out!).

Just think, I ran a marathon "Kilauea Rim Run" 10 years ago when she was dormant. I threw a bottle of Jack Daniels into the caldera

I came here to get away from political stuff and the second thing I read was about throwing Bush, Cheney and Rove into the volcano and then that they are garbage. So much for science. I flew over Kilauea in a chopper in 2001 but there was almost no activity then. We flew over a house that was surrounded by lava and cut off but left undamaged. So the owner, being very smart and industrious started to rent it out and booked it up and made good $$$. I guess it can be accessed only by 4-wheel drive or helicopter.

a lot of the earthquakes lately have been very deep. The discontinuity is 10 miles, and a lot of them at that depth also.
