It will be interesting to see what the response is and the reaction to the response. I noticed something else in this article at the bottom, a statement ( By Israel and the U S) that a missile attack by Iran on Israel and the United States was very likely in the immediate future.

In my study of History, I don't believe that Iran has invaded another country ( except battling back against Iraq ) since that country was known as Persia. Not lately in other words. So why would they want to starta a war against the United States or Israel? What would they have to gain?

The Bush bunch is trying mightily to start a war against Iran to get their oil. They want it to look like a defensive measure. If they don't get one pretty soon (before the election )they might have to create an event.

Well said Cham, Iran was also the first nation to express their sincere sympathy after the 9/11 attacks, despite the bombastic remarks of relatively few in it's government the people of Iran are (or perhaps I should say were) fairly pro western and have very reasonable positions on most matters in my opinion. Though nuclear weapons proliferation is a legitimate concern, the U.S. being the ONLY nation ever to actually use them has no credibility on the subject. If the lid can be kept on the hot heads until Obama is elected I feel a diplomatic solution can be reached. (If McCain were to become president, war would be almost inevitable).

I wouldn't put it past Bush and Cheney to stage a missile attack on Israel or on our troops in Iraq making it look like it came from Iran. No amount of denial from Iran would be heard against the din from FOX news and the White House media blitz and neocon propaganda machine. From the pulpit of every fundamentalist church, from the mouths of every bushbot, from FOX news would come the hue and cry - war with Iran!

This would further push the Bush/Cheney regime's agenda and goal of total chaos in the Middle East, oil at over $500 per barrel, a hugely profitable war in Iran, and an excuse to invoke emergency powers in an election year.

I can totally imagine the Bushtapo drooing over the prospects and possibilities of an action such as this. It would be totally consistent with the corrupt, disastrous, destructive actions this foul administration has perpetrated for the past 7 years.

      But Clinton got a B. J. !

You should ask Iranian President Mahnoud Ahmadinejad. After all, it's him who repeatedly declared that Israel should or will be destroyed.

Of course... just like they got "their oil" from Iraq. Can you tell me by how much Iraqi oil production increased as a result of destruction of Iraqi oil facilities? Can you estimate the additional amount of oil that will be produced in Iran due to destruction of Iranian oil facilities by the way the Bush bunch is "trying mightily to start"?

With all the sable ratling lately, I'd be relieved and surprised, if no attack uccurs just before the change of guard at the white house. The rethoric is increasing markedly and the hunt for any viable excuse continues, so that a new conflict can be initiated, at the drop of a pin.

Armagedon is all about Israel. It is a war of faiths, Christianity vs. Islam, and undoubtedly is heating up dramatically to a point of no return. Bible prophecy is coming to pass; Iran's ultimate destiny has been to destroy the nation of Israel, from the very begining of time. All the bad things happening in the world today, major earthquakes, floods, famine, diseases, wars and rumors of wars, increasing violence, etc., have all been prophecied in the Bible, and are known to be the birthpangs of the end. What is happening is going to happen. Jesus is Lord, and all who believe in his name will be saved. This is good news, and hope. If you look deeper at the picture, you will see that all in the Bible is true and coming to pass at an alarming pace.

This is pretty pathetic, in general.
