Israeli authorities said a "terrorist" rammed a bulldozer into a bus and several other vehicles in Jerusalem, killing at least three people and wounding more than 30 others. The rampage lasted about five minutes before a police officer climbed up the side of the swerving bulldozer and killed the driver.

This is a terrible tragedy. But aren't we getting rather careless with the term "terrorist"?
The story of this horrible murder of innocent civilians is being described as a terrorist attack. Ben Wedeman, with CNN, said this morning that Jerusalem police were calling this a spontaneous event and are still investigating.
Yet already from a BBC article:
Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the driver was a terrorist, adding: "We can clearly say this is a terrorist incident."
How? Because he was Palestinian? They don't have unbalanced
Palestinians who commit murder? Why is our news not waiting
until some elementary facts can be gathered about motive BEFORE adding to the hysteria? We just arrested some kind of serial killer here in the states yesterday - do you think Israelis are concerned? It happens. Yet, this bulldozer incident will ratchet up all the dialogue on OUR war on terror.

  Why is no one interested in news vs spin. At this moment
  I will consider him a Palestinian construction worker who
  caused terrible carnage for reasons unknown - until I hear
  FACTS to the contrary.
  And before everybody goes berzerk - I am not defending
  terrorists. Nor am I ruling out the possibility that he DID
  have connections to a militant group. He may have chosen
  to take as many Jews with him on his way to martyrdom as
  he could. What I am saying is that I just don't know yet -
  and neither does anyone else.

    Or perhaps he is just tired of living in an apartheid state. Today there is a story that Bush has finally signed a bill removing Nelson Mandela from our list of "terrorists". Those who resist zionist crimes against humanity will someday also be regarded as heroes pf freedom.

      The flip-side is that we will not be held blameless
      when the world learns that our government KNEW what was
      REALLY going on, and helped facilitate the deception.
      To say we will have egg on our face is way too mild -
      we will be judged to have blood on our hands.
      And that will be Israeli blood, as well as Palestinian
      blood. We have vigorously obstructed a productive peace
      process, and people on both sides of the issue have suffered.

      A hypothetical question - please.
      Are all Palestinians Muslim? Are there Palestinian
      Christians? Hypothetically, what if this crazed man
      of Palestinian descent were to be identified as a Christian?
      Would that immediately dispel the claims of his actions
      being a "terrorist attack"?
      I am reminded of Rabin's assassination and my own
      conclusion upon hearing the news. I did not doubt
      for one second that he had been murdered by a Palestinian.
      What if Israel had retaliated - when in reality it was a
      right-wing Jewish extremist who killed Rabin?
      Waiting for the facts to surface can be a good thing.

        This is one of the tragedies of the zionist propaganda in the US - keeping Americans from knowing that christians in Palestine have suffered from zionist ethnic cleansing at least as much as moslems. Indeed, christians have long played a leading role in Palestinian resistance to zionist ethnic cleansing.
