"The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's executive director, Chris Ward, announced Monday that nearly every project under construction at the World Trade Center site is behind schedule and that the memorial would not be able to open by its target of Sept. 11, 2011."
"On Tuesday, Ward said the public might have access to the cobblestone, tree-covered memorial plaza by the attacks' 10th anniversary, but construction would still need to continue after that."

Just Get It Over folks. This is nothing BIT tempest in a tea cup. This country is over reacting.
Look at Iraq. The country has been bombed and destroyed beyond belief and millions of innocent people have been either killed or made refugees for rest of their lives.
Based on this news item, there should be a memorial in every street corner in Baghdad, to start with and none of them knew anything about a 9/11.

9/11 was an inside job.
Facts
1)Bush's brother worked for the security firm of those bldgs.
2)There was no security in those bldgs on the weekend before the attack and the only people in those bldgs that weekend were there doing wiring. I wonder what kind?
3)the bldgs fell in 10 seconds even though they were reinforced with steel in the center.
4)the fires in the bldgs were going out so obviously the steel was not hot enough to give way.
5) explosions took place below the bldgs knocking out the concrete pillars.
6)Rudy(mayor)wouldn't allow the rubble to be analyzed. It was taken to a secret location. Why? THERMITE!!!
Physics don't like!!!!
It was all about OIL!!! Saddam hated fundamentalists. There were no WMD.
They should just put up some gallows and string up all the administration Bush Cheney and the rest of them

That sounds like a typical bureaucrat to me--claiming to be "aggressive" after seven years of near-total inactivity. People who waste the public's time and money need to be held accountable, but I do not expect such a thing to happen. Instead, we will attempt to solve the "problem" these idiots have created for us by throwing more money at it. Of course, there will be a lot of profiteering, a great deal of graft, and considerable outright theft--but what the heck, it's only money, and it's all for a "good cause."

In less than five years of WW11, the US built 100,000 aircraft, retrofitted and built countless ships/tanks/jeeps/guns, produced hundreds of thousands of uniforms including boots, & on & on. Yet in seven years, these fools have produced nothing. At least we can be grateful that the US didn't count on such incompetent boobs back then.

Perhaps a more appropiate memorial would incorporate an oil fountain instead of a water fountain, being that these poor souls were murdered in order for our government to invade an innocent country and steal their oil.
