A syndicated radio show's announcement that it would pay for up to 360 cars to get free gas had vehicles lined up for more than 10 blocks at a gas station today.

"The Tom Joyner Morning Show, which is broadcast on WHQT FM, said it would pay for up to 10 gallons of gas per car between noon and 2 p.m. at the Shell station at the corner of State Road 7 and NW 19th Street.
At least three cars ran out of gas while waiting in line.
Phil Michaels-Trueba, the radio station's program director, estimated the giveaway will cost about $20,000."

  Every time I see gas lines, it reminds me of the late '70s. I made my living "on the road" then and it was a BIG hassle.

    I remember those lines very well. See a line and get in it and hope they had gas when you got to the end of the line.

  At least if McCain is Pres the soup will be free.
  If OBama is Pres I'm sure it will be taxed with the proceeds going to the UN to feed the poor of the world.

Definitely and why not.
Right now, Bush is taxing you and using the money to patrol the streets of Baghdad.
Obama will use the tax money to feed the poor "created" right here in USA by Bush.
