"By Saturday afternoon, the paramilitary Frontier Corps began shelling suspected militant hideouts in the mountains in Khyber."
"We have occupied, captured all important heights, and we have taken control of the area," said Maj. Gen. Alam Khattak, the Frontier Corps' head. He said his troops destroyed three militant centers and killed a gunman. The operation was expected to last up to a week."

It's about time. We should work with the Pakistanis in a coordinated effort from Afghanistan and crush them once and for all.
After which the governments of both countries have to do whatever it takes to improve the lives of their peoples so militancy is no longer viewed as an option.

It is funny. It is Taliban in Pakistan Army fighting the Taliban outside the Pakistan Army.
It will be interesting to know the outcome.
