Savannah is one hospitable town--I didn't even mind the temperatures, which were akin to what you find on the surface of Mercury. Friendly people, including one hotel employee who ask if I was in the area to attend college. (Either he was blind or angling for the mother of all tips.) Great food, too. I recommend the grilled shrimp at the Pink House. And an adequate supply of beer.
