THAT is correct, 'engineer'. It is very sad story, not only for soldier involved, but our nation as well. Thank you for good post.

The guy couldn't pass the tests to gain entry into the Army but they accepted him anyway and he became a sargeant? Lowering the standards seems to have come into play in this situation, it seems to me. Or am I stretching the generalizations here?

As a retired Air Force NCO, I can tell you the military,
in general, is having a very difficult time meeting manning requirements for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Recruiters routinely give waivers to felons and other "undesirables,"in order to come close to meeting the militaries recruitment goals. It seems patriotic Americans are just not standing in line to fight and serve in Afghanistan and Iraq. Not exactly "the best and brightest."

this is very sad. If the guy wasn't alreadym crazy, then having to go into this war sure did the trick. Is it not odd that so many soldiers are mentally and emotionally broken during and returning from war? It really makes me sad.

You have to put your little book of hate down for a spell. I can't imagine the amount of poison that your parents must be filled with to produce such a vile and disgusting inbred. Hopefully there'll be a limit to the damage you do to what ever country you ran off to hide in.

If you snakes read the following CNN headline, you would agree with me:
"Haditha charges against commander tossed"
24 innocent Iraqi men, women and children were murdered in cold blood by these felons wearing US military uniform. Not one, even one was even tried for the murders.
Get real. .... and you want muslims to like you.
