Posted by: idyll 2 months, 3 weeks agoIraqi leaders are resisting the status of forces agreement because they want to maintain their own sovereignty, but also because they don't want to become a staging ground for an attack on Iran, which would almost certainly result in an overthrow of the government and total chaos.
