"The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said overall the United States should be cooler than any summer since 2004 in terms of air-conditioning demand. That will keep down demand growth to 0.6 percent over last summer, a lower annual gain than in recent years, said analysts at the U.S. Energy Information Administration."

"Average U.S. residential electricity prices are expected to increase by about 3.7 percent in 2008," the EIA said in its short-term energy forecast."

Stoner, your freaky friend here just to reiterate what California did to aid Enron's nine-billion rip-off? When we had a real duffus named Pete Wilson (R). He said, and I quote, "by deregulating natural gas and putting it into the 'free market,' Californians will enjoy the benefits of cheap gas and heating oil." The rest is history. I deciding now to leave Propeller. The Republicans will no doubt jump for joy.

hmmm. I find this all very interesting. McCain is on the trail parroting the need for nuclear energy over & over again. Now this. CONS are parroting the need to dig into our natural resources for oil, while oil prices keep going up & up & up. How convenient all of this is. How suspiciously convenient.

Stoners, Its hot enough here that I can not run to much electricity or everything heats up the electrical box. My bill is still through them roof and nuclear energy power plants and all that other stuff they said would help us live cheaper and better only cost more and more. They won't dig into our oil resources, Our oil is different from the sweet fine crude of the middle east. It cost more to make gas out of it or so I'm told. I'm not an oil person. I was told that our oil is considered hard crude. Yet we are supposed to be selling it to other nations. One day it will dawn in the rich little greedy mind, "Gee I should have kept my own nation working, instead of outsourcing. Why there is no one to buy my goods. I got all this stuff with no one here to buy it."

I sure hope the grids hold, it is already hot here in East Texas. My cooperative electric company is still holding their prices!

                Good article, thanks STONERS!
