now that is why when we travel our seats are always together and we insist on a boarding pass for our son. even if he doesn't get a seat of his own, he's still a passenger and should be accounted for. airlines should make it a point to account for every passenger on each flight, regardless of age.

Feh. That would make sense... it's definitely much more brilliant to make people pour out water and discard nail clippers. And don't forget, you can't board carrying a leaf blower, either.
