Saw that on TV today. I believe its authentic. I know that the parents are glad his alright. Man that would have freaked my wife out. Thanks Ab and Libs for letting me know.

Haven't seen it. But by listening to it. It's not what I remember it being like. Maybe the cell phone was muffled.
Either way the guys in harms way are always in my prayers. Glad he was alright.
Yeah, I know but it was in his gear not in his hand, so the sound would have been muffled and the reception would have been iffy. I'm giving the parents the benefit of the doubt. I could be wrong and it may be a play but The gear those boys are carrying is bullet proof armour and I saw some up close last weekend It is really heavy and dense not at all like ours were.. The sound did bother me a little the ping in it but I don't know for sure what the sound would be because of the new gear. I'll go out later if it don't start raining and use my cell and call the house and do a little experiment. I'll see what I can rig up. And let you know.
SEveral things bother me about it.But like cowboy said,i am glad he is alright.
I can't get my cell phone to work. So experiment is a failure. Wonder what company he has? He sure has better reception than I can get.
