There are Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, US Virgin Islands, American Samoa and Midway. Also there are other tiny islands such as Howland, Baker, Palmyra, Johnston Island (these four plus Midway were part of Hawaii but separated from Hawaii as a condition of Hawaiian statehood), Kingman Reef, Jarvis Island, Petrel Islands and Wake. I may have missed a couple. Most of the latter named islands are uninhabited and used as military way stations. American Samoa has a curious situation in which its residents are considered to be American 'nationals' but not American citizens? Samoans have close ties with Hawaii.
They said something about other territories. How many others do we have?
