It's official. You're clearly illiterate. Let me say it again: Jeremiah Wright HIMSELF is a Vietnam War veteran. Upon completing his service and returning home, he was denied equal rights and liberties -- the very American rights and liberties he thought he had been fighting for when he served in Vietnam.
While I can't condone everything Wright has said, I can understand his frustration and anger. When was the last time YOU gave your life fighting for freedoms that were denied to you upon YOUR return home?

McCain's eldest son was deployed in Iraq and another likely will go there - both of them Marine Corps officers.
Big difference between accepting an endorsement and "worshiping" at the feet of a racist like Wright.
You obviously have not listened to his speech. I don't say this lightly or often, but as I was listening to him yesterday, I was wondering whether there would be anybody stupid enough to condemn him for his speech. Obviously there are some, and without actually having heard what he said.

Swiftboating, according the Wikipedia, has evolved to mean American political jargon that is used (primarily) as a strong pejorative description of some kind of attack that the speaker considers unfair or untrueâ;;for example, an ad hominem attack or a smear campaign.

White supremist from Georgia, the article is not about Cone, but about Wright. You take what James Cone wrote out of context as much as you do Wright. If you have read all Cone wrote about the subject, you would also know that the "white enemy" are those whites who have oppressed blacks in history. Neither Cone or Wright hate white people, but they both hate the oppression by whites, like slavery, bigotry, etc.
I think Wright is right about people like you. Evidently, from your writing, you must be a David Duke or KKK type who hates the black church. Otherwise, why would you try to put down someone with "you want play-doh (dough), go to toys R-Us"? That appears you see someone as deficient, so that means Wright is right to say that you believe difference is deficient. The real guilty culprit here is not Wright or Cone, but it is you, the white Supremist.

I measure opposition to slavery by a black person by their opposition to ALL slavery, including & especially the black-on-black slavery in Africa that continues to this day. The notion that black-black slavery is ok, but white-black slavery is evil is a purely racist contention.
That leaves pretty much every black leader in America--as far as I know--in the moral dust that clutters my rearview mirror. But if you know of a black leader in America who has spoken out against b-b slavery in Africa, by all means...I WANT to be wrong about this.
If you can't, know that I wear your contempt as a badge of honor for the hope of wanting ALL BLACK PEOPLE free of the scourge of slavery. If that hope makes me a supremacist, so be it. But I'd like to hear it from a black slave in Africa who shares my hope as opposed to someone in America who frankly knows-experientially-nothing about slavery.

For years all we heard about was South Africa's apartheid, ie, legalized discrimination against blacks by whites. And during the entire period of demonstrations, boycotts, etc., that ultimately ended up with the dissolution of apartheid, here are two things not once mentioned:
1. the dozens if not hundreds of blacks murdered by the ANC to keep them from gaining power in post-apartheid Union of S. Africa; and
2. the black-on-black slave trade that has continued from before Columbus set sail to this very day.
As you will no doubt condemn silent Southerners, and rightly so, silence amounts to acceptance, so you don't get to paint with the broad stroke here. Unless of course you're willing to let silent Southerners off the hook for looking the other way.
Life is choices.
