That's right you super libs. Can't back off of Betrayus can you. A competent man working for a competent President. A president that wants diverse opinions. But that does not fir the hate Bush mentality does it.

Bush only wants yes-men. Pet. had been portrayed by superior officers as an ambitious brown-noser for sometime. That is why Bush uses him. The vast majority of competent officers, including Powell, voiced concern about Bush's policies in the ME. Bush only cares about his agenda, and not doing the right thing. That is why they are gone, and Pet. is promoted.

Another israel-firster who thinks killing americans in the mideast for zionist crimes against humanity is just dandy. Why am I not surprised that you support a ZionCon like Petraeus?

Why Does the Bush Regime Want to Rule Iraq?

Politics รข;; Bush invaded Iraq with the intent of turning Iraq into an American colony. The so-called government of Maliki is not a government. Maliki is the well paid front man for U.S. colonial rule. The most likely explanation for the U.S. invasion of Iraq is the neoconservative Bush regime's commitment to the defense of Israeli territorial expansion.

Whether Petreaus is actually competent or not is beside the point, he is an arse-licking politic hack and suck-up who only got the job because he was willing to kill more GIs than the next General.

Bush is as incompetent as they get. Failure at everything he's done, only became president because of Daddy's name, favors, connections, and Dubya is easily manipulated by his handlers like Cheney.

Bush wants diverse opinions like he wants to be held responsible for his actions. Not at all.

The nice part about a confirmation would Petraeus would finally be able to confirm that attacking Iran is the right thing to do.

I'm sure his experience in Iraq will be touted as a first hand account of Iranian duplicity.

Petr. showed his true azz-kisser colors when he made the unprecedented move to lie in an op-ed during the campaign in 2004.

Petr. promised a whole bunch of achievements within six months at the time, none of which have come true years later.

We're still waiting for those brigades Petr. Last I heard about 1,200 more Iraqis deserted at the first sign of a fight. Nice training there big guy.

Oh, and how about all those weapons you lost? How many have been used to kill Americans and innocents so far?

Admiral Fallon For VP?

he abrupt resignation Tuesday of the combatant commander of U.S. Central Command, Admiral William J. "Fox" Fallon, is not the end of a career but a move calculated to catapult the former naval officer into the vice-presidential sweepstakes. After all, a military man who has proven himself utterly unserious about the Iranian threat would be perfect running mate for either Senators Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.

Would any president want on his (or her) team an individual who had engaged in serial acts of insubordination and sabotage of a previous commander-in-chief? Consider just a few of the more public examples of such behavior:

The admiral's assignment to Centcom commander came as a shock to those who had observed what some called his "toxic leadership" in the Pacific Command.

Not least, Fallon opined on al-Jazeera last fall that, "This constant drumbeat of conflict . . . is not helpful and not useful. I expect that there will be no war, and that is what we ought to be working for. We ought to try to do our utmost to create different conditions." Asia Times carried a report last year that he would resign if ordered to go to war - a sentiment he never denied.

The question is: Will rank insubordination on a scale arguably not seen in a military commander since MacArthur faded away nearly six decades ago be rewarded by still higher office?

pc,

That link is a reprint opinion piece from Nat. Rev. with all sorts of innuendo that if true would convict Fallon of high treason. I wonder why the government hasn't prosecuted the bastard. Probably because it's not true. But don't let the truth get in the way of your spin.

i know it is from the national review the cbs piece refers to it and what is there to prosecute..........

pc,

Then answer my question, if those accusations alleged in the article are so true (treasonous to say the least), why hasn't Fallon been courtmartialed or prosecuted?

U.S.-IRAQ: Fallon Derided Petraeus, Opposed the Surge

Fallon's derision toward Petraeus reflected both the CENTCOM commander's personal distaste for Petraeus's style of operating and their fundamental policy differences over Iraq, according to the sources.
