D.B.Cooper , mystery and folklore .

Mystery and folklore for dang sure. I don't think he's still living. Seems by now that they would have nailed the pooper.

He may very well have died in the jump. But there are just enough things that indicate that may may not have that will keep the legend living on. He may well be sharing an apartment with Elvis and Jimmy Hoffa.

I kind of like the Far Side cartoon entitled "What Really Happened to DB Cooper." It shows him parachuting into Ben and Vera's Rottweiler Farm.

I agree with chevydog, Cooper never spent any of the $200,000 that he had stolen. It never turned up at all in circulation. I personally think that he died somewhere in his famous jump into obscurity.

I wished I knew who Cooper really was, but that would take the fun out of a delving mystery.

Btw, "D.B. Cooper" was a misnomer by a reporter, the hijacker actually signed on as "Dan Cooper" not "D.B. Cooper"

D. B. Cooper lives! He somehow laundered the cash and is somewhere laughing his ass off enjoying his loot.

But we'll never know where.

You're damn right I'm alive - and kickin'

I invested the money in gold, and oil, and have done quite well indeed!

I wish everybody would just forget about me and let me continue to live in peace and obscurity!

I never hurt anybody, just scared some folks when I jumped out of that plane.

I know I sinned by stealing that money. But a preacher told me that if I gave some of it to his church, God would forgive me. So I did. He reminded me that we have thousands of politicians who steal more than I did EVERY DAY and people still vote for them.

Be good now.

Ok so what did you do with the money Dan? Btw, did you know you lost a little over five grand of it? Don't believe me? Count the money.

five grand? Hell, I salted my false trail with over TEN grand! They probably found it and only turned in the five, but, hey, it was rough country and they needed to make a buck for their efforts.

I laundered the money and invested it. Just needed a stake. I had a good investment plan and it paid off.

Lichtenstein banks have some great plans. No tax. No trace. No tell. Still got plenty in a trust over there. Gotta get off this public terminal now.

forget about DB being overlooked - Propeller seems to becoming overlooked.

Trying to read it or post comments have become a slower & slower process.

Mostly it's the same posters saying the same old same old to each other over & over again. I think new people are being turned off by the extraordinary wait to do anything on this site.

WAKE UP PROPELLER!!!!

So DB Cooper is a REAL myth/legend? They had him(well, the concept of him) in the TV show Prison Break...The main character was going to escape from prison(obviously) and DB Cooper was in the same prison - the main character wanted the money to keep going after the escape...

So the DB Cooper character was based on a actual urban legend/event. How fun!
