Two little robots like that live in my basement. I better check whether they have guns. I'm pretty sure that their batteries have run out long time ago, so I should be safe, but one never knows.

Fembots! Run for your lives! Wait...are those things loaded? Uh oh! I've known this was coming since I was five.

The imagination's the limit...

I have read most of the comments here, WOW! OK there is a very strong possibility that sooner than any one really knows the killer robots will be a bigger part of human life; knowing this, does any one believe that it would be in the best interest of human kind and its development to learn to live in peace and if not peace than in respect for life. Live and let live. Just wondering if this possibility has crossed the mind of any one?!

Huh, what is this peace you speak of? Is it big enough for us all to live in?

My friend when we already have thousands of nuclear bombs, why care about a few robots?

Yes, it has crossed great minds, but few people are listening.

"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."

"Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding."

"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."

Maybe Tom Cruise will infect them with a strain of a simple human virus that they have no defense against and save the world . . . oh, nevermind, that's aliens.

Why would terrorist use a robot to deliver bombs when they have plenty of volunteers?

IF Muslim terrorist use them as suicide bombers, will those robots that exploded find themselves surrounded by 72 fembots and oil that never has to be changed? Whatever the case, you probably don't want to be around one of these things then hear it shout in a robotic voice, "Al-lah-u-ach-bar!"

How ironic can it be? The US has been on the cutting edge of technology so long, it leads in almost every category of new inventive ideas, especially when it comes to warfare. We are literally inventing our own self destruction. If we would just have used that good old US ingenuity toward defensive warfare instead feeding our Imperialistic offensive desires, we might be the envy of the world today and quiet secure. Instead, it looks like it is a matter of time until our own technology completely destroys us. Isn't the corporate fascist capitalistic sponsored military industrial complex just great? After all, we are the most powerful country in the World.

ML2007: We are literally inventing our own self destruction."

Yes, we are blindly marching forward toward self-destruction.

"He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."

"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."

"The release of atom power has changed everything except our way of thinking...the solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind. If only I had known, I should have become a watchmaker."

For some reason I see the US selling robots to future terrorists instead of the terrorists copying plans. Gee, I wonder why?

Something tells me these robots don't follow Zeroth's Law of Robotics.

I was just watching the sarah conner chronicles and then I come here and this is the first article I see... spooky

we really seemed to be determined to wipe ourselves out. the nukes didnt do it, the bioweapons didnt do it, maybe the machines will do it...

If the evolution of these machines follow normal dynamical behavior, they will ultimately become self-preserving. As to whether or not they would even want to bother with us, remains to be seen. It should be interesting.
