Congratulations to Obama! He has brought a lot of people into the electoral process who would not bother otherwise. The surge of young voters participating is almost entirely his doing. Democrats need to realize it is him personally not the party that the new voters are embracing. If Obama loses in a brokered convention, many will turn away in disgust.

Why shouldn't they embrace him after all the media is giving him rock star status. Perhaps its because the younger folks are needing a hero or someone to look up to for a change who isn't a rock star, drug toking nitwit, or hollywood type flake.
Is Obama real or does he just have marvelous speech writers? For some reason, and I don't know why..I find myself being a bit skiddish and wanting to find out more about him. Don't forget, he is a politician...I don't trust most of them.
He could however be the real thing, if so he would be a good for the country. I am not rushing to judgement.

Actually, the people gave him that status before the media picked up on it. I remember when he first announced, and started going around the country to speak. Hard for the media to ignore the enormous crowds that gathered. Harder still to ignore the money everyday people were giving him. Also hard to ignore that a black man was running for President, four decades after this country had a huge upheaval over the treatment of black Americans. That is a very big deal, but maybe more-so for those of us who lived in both times. Prejudice ran very deep in this nation, & it's stunning that we have come so far in such a short time. It's quite a testament to the 60,s generation & their hand in shaping what has come.

The old saying, "don't count your chickens before they've hatched," I believe applies here.
The media discovered that Americans were not buying their spin for a change and consequently resigned themselves to accepting that their phony polls and propganda hadn't worked on Obama's campaign.
So now they are going with the flow. Just give them an opportunity to slay Obama, and they will jump for the first available knife. In fact, I will take bets that they already are working on a story to help slow his mounting popularity.
I hope people keep taking their immunity pills for msm ... becuase they will need them. IMHO...

Obama is just another corrupt politician, like Hillary, Rudy, and Huckabee.

Hillary is counting on March elections to take the lead again, but in their world of politics, that is a long ways off.

JOSEMADRE:
"It looks like both major parties like corrupt people. At least the GOP still has McCain."
Why do you think McCain is any different? Try looking up the Keating 5 and McCain's ties to the 1980s collapse of savings and loans institutions.

FTA:
"While the Obama campaign celebrated, the Clinton camp sought to downplay Obama's success last night, even before the votes were counted. "The Obama campaign has dramatically outspent our campaign in these three states, saturating the airwaves with 30 and 60 second ads," the campaign said in a release. "Although the next several states that hold nominating contests this month are more favorable to the Obama campaign, we will continue to compete in them and hope to secure as many delegates as we can before the race turns to Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania."
Yeah, but Obama didn't spend any of his own money for those ads. Until he learns how to make a Hsu, err - I mean few, deals and become personally invested in this campaign, he will be searching for superdelegate votes in a pasture of green Clinton grass well fertilized by Hillary and Bill.
