The "Great Tomato Debate" is never ending on Propeller, James. As the lead proponent of the "I hate tomatoes" camp, I feel I need to inject it into as many forums as possible to raise awareness about this evil vegetable. LOL>>> Of course that's only until it's made into ketchup, spaghetti sauce or tomato juice. Then it's a fine vegetable. LOL>>>
Great work as always!

Surely you can't be referring to a nice, fresh, plump tomato, sliced thin and sprinkled with salt and pepper. That's ambrosial--truly food of the gods. Like the cucumbers in Tolstoy. But I guess I'll have to respect your point of view. Glad you enjoyed the WIR in any case.

Very tricky. I ran into the other room and cried for a while before I came slinking back in and read the parenthetical. Thanks for keeping me on my toes!

Thanks JM for another excellent wir.
But this tomato thing...hmm!
"The lady doth protest too much, methinks." I must agree with Shakespeare.
What a misfortune not to know the romance and the culinary ecstasy of sharing a great Italian appetizer, especially when it is vine ripe sliced tomatoes, homemade mozzarella, bathed in extra virgin olive oil with fresh garlic, oregano, and garnished with garden-picked basil. That -- with warm Italian bread is a feast made for gods. Ah!...jealousy is too common a foe.
My mother use to say, "Don't waste your life on jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long, and in the end it's only you with yourself."
Peace!

You're right, there are many great stories to choose from every week--the frustrating part is that I can't include them all.

I must be voting on or writing about the wrong topics. I never seem to move to the front of the class. Then again, I do tend to write about and read the offbeat stuff here. Despite the fact that the material is about 90% offbeat, I still think these weekly wrap ups are cool.

I have a question for Cherev, Thinker22, Engineer and Walden3: Why is it necessary to suppress disagreement with falsehoods? No one tries to suppress disagreement with The al Qaeda theory of 9/11 or the Osama videos. No one is brought before the inquisition for denying that Israel is starving Gaza.
No one is slandered and persecuted for denying that homosexuality is a sexual perversion. It is rare indeed for anyone to be denounced and silenced for being too reverent towards Martin Luther King or too hostile towards the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and Richard Nixon.

According to whom?? How dare you say such a thing! As if we gays and lesbians stick our noses into your business. If I had a dollar for every yokel who thought he was superior for being straight, I would be filthy rich. We do not scorn your views, so why must you constantly make light of gays and lesbians? I for one say, shut your pie hole!

This was the first time I looked at the weekly wrap up. I had no idea what I was missing. Very nice!

James Marcus,
Zionist totalitarianism has reached a new stage. Six Arabs are about to be executed for the September 11 terrorism. How long before The Department of Homeland Security starts rounding up enemies of the people? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080211/ap_on_go_ca... Even the 9-11 truth shills are accessories to this atrocity.
