Posted By TechnologyExpert 10 months, 3 weeks ago in NewsAqua Dots, an extremely popular and award-winning toy, was recalled early this month when it was discovered that a chemical coating on the dots metabolizes into the daet-rape drug GHB. Embarrassingly for some stores, the recall didn't seem to affect their fliers as post-Thanksgiving ads for some stores featured the toys.

Ok - for anyone one here who does NOT already know this: Advertising media is printed well before the actual distribution date. Lead times on this kind of stuff can vary from several hours - for newspaper ads and the like - to a couple of months for large run "insert" type sale flyers. Particularly for holiday season use as demand on the printing presses is high. The cost to re-do the flyers - or even modify them post-press would be prohibitive. This is a non-story. Sorry.
