Why should the American Taxpayers be paying for this ? The United Nations CREATED Israel, it is the U.N.'s responsibility to fix it. If the U.N. can not fix it, the U.N. should rework it, or dissolve what the U.N. created. Forget who did what to whom, on both sides. The U.N. should send in a real peacekeeping force, and administer the entire region until both sides decide to play nice. Meanwhile, get OUT of Uncle Sam's wallet. One of the fastest ways to get peace would be for America to QUIT PROVIDING WEAPONS.

      > Why should the American Taxpayers be paying for this ?

      They don't.

      > The United Nations CREATED Israel, it is the U.N.'s responsibility to fix it.

Israel was created by the Israeli people, not by United Nations. At least, no more than Panama, Burma or China.

      > If the U.N. can not fix it, the U.N. should rework it, or dissolve what the U.N. created.

I'm not sure what you're willing to "fix" or dissolve" but the United Nations can not and will not "fix" or "dissolve" Israel or any other sovereign state.

The US is free to send "real" or not so "real" peacekeeping force to any state that will invite it. Israel did not and will not invite such forces and the Palestinians... well, there is no Palestinian state yet.

The US does not provide weapons to Palestinians anyway. In case the US will refuse to sell weapons to Israel it will find other sources that will, probably, be cheaper and, possibly, better.

I don't know what you think the American Taxpayer is paying for, but a lot of people realize that if we want the oil to continue to flow, we should help Israel defend itself conventionally.

Doesn't matter. MAKE the U.N. take charge of fixing the MONSTER it created, and the US will have to work with the rest of the World.

Have to be greatful to the Arabs for this. The Israelis are too stupid to avoid this dog-and-pony show.

I have to disagree. Israelis are smart enough to realize that the Arabs will make this "dog-and-pony show" a non-starter while Israel can not afford to refuse any offer for peace negotiations.
