News – At least six members of the Afghan parliament, and reportedly many schoolchildren, were killed in the blast in the province of Baghlan. The streets were left littered with bodies and awash with blood in one of the worst attacks in recent times.
Wrong, friends of my raided the AI camp,(AQ affilated group) during the first push into Iraq in 2003.
Codi6934: "Wrong, friends of my raided the AI camp,(AQ affilated group) during the first push into Iraq in 2003."
Hearsay. Did your friends actually talk to those people and they said that they were affiliated? Besides, what if they were affiliated? Did they pose a threat to the US? The whole world is full of little cells that are affiliated with al Quedea. Do you propose to attack all the countries that have cells in them, starting perhaps with the US and Germany?
(I don't know why this is linked to David's comment.)
David,
Won't you ever give up this myth? Please listen to your President. He said the following in an interview on January 14, 2007:
"BUSH: Let me correct something on this connection between Saddam Hussein and 9/11. That was never the case in this administration. You know, I always said we never had evidence that Saddam Hussein ordered the attacks on 9/11. And so I don't know who continues to say that."
"BUSH: ...The minute we found out they didn't have weapons of mass destruction, I was the first to say so. Scott, all I can do is just tell the truth, tell people exactly what's on my mind, which is what I do."
You can read the whole transcript yourself.
It's getting worse and worse. Afghanistan, is our forgotten war. We would indeed have sacrificed out troops senselessly if our democratic efforts in Afghanistan and the elimination of the taliban and Al Quaida is defeated. This is the war we can not afford to lose. What's up with you neocons? Not any oil there?
"What's up with you neocons? Not any oil there?"
Nope.
Afghanistan, with its violence, hatred, poverty, insular people, low education level, lack of resources and lack of any willingness to cooperate on any level, or to make some sort of change to bring themselves forward into the 19th century, is low - - very low - - on the priority list of the United States. If it weren't for its dubious distinction of being the hiding place of Osama bin Laden, believe me, we wouldn't be wasting our time or resources there.
Can you give me one good reason, other than Osama bin Laden, why we should?
But Dumby doesnt even think about Osama that much. Doesnt bother himself with details like that.
This is the only justifiable military activity we have in the region and Dumby & Co. Inc have neglected it in favor of a war for oil.
They thought there WAS oil reserves to the north that we could access from there but a geologic survey came out concluding there wasn't much oil in the Caspian sea.
One week later we invaded Iraq.
Oh yes!!! we are there for all that oil we are not getting. That old refrain is getting worn out by the facts.

When I read the headline I thought there will be people blaming the U.S. for this. I wasn't surprised when the very first post did just that. Not until the 5th post was it mentioned that this was a Islamic extremist that actually committed this act.
Islamic extremists killing people en-masse with no regard for women and children?!?!?! What?
Are we 'fightin terra there so we dont have to fight it here?
Continued sympathy for the wreckless policies of Bush & Co., Inc. are sycophantic at best.
-"A dog always returns to it's vomit"-
And I can assume from your avatar.....!
The point being, our resources would be much more effective in achieving our goals of "Fightin' terra there so we dont have to fight it here" in Afghanistan where the terrorists exist if we were not involved in the Keystone Cops (where the invasion invited AQ to join in) debacle that is Iraq.
You truly are a Bush Bot aren't you. The terrorist are in Iraq because of the shrubs failed policies in that country, every country he touches ends up in trouble.
Sorry no sympathy here for 9/11, maybe if your government had not been to a undetermined degree responsible for it I might. It's funny you think it's been the shrubs doing that no more terrorist attacks have happened, when your own intel says your borders are open for anyone to pass. So why is it nothing is happening in the US? If anyone can get in and their are still so many terrorist out there what is stopping them? Would it not serve them to create as much kayos as possible with your schools, churches, and malls. Maybe blow up a ball game or Nascar event even, that would get a lot of attention. If the terrorist risk was as great as your government say then that would be happening but it's not is it. A smart person does not believe anything that Washington says, what is it the shrub tried to say, fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.

Whom do you expect to blame if not US? America is the main culprit which started this war, Ramsey is another war criminal at large. Why did they not go to Myanmar if they love Democracy?
This is Afghanistan Daylight. Remember 9/11. Remember Osama and his group were there. The Taleban there was in charge and refused to give us the Al Queada people. Who declared war on who?
Actually, they didn't refuse to extradite Osama bin Laden. They requested proof of his guilt before extraditing him, as any country would.
He confessed on TV. No proof needed.
That was much later, after the start of the war.
So you didn't think that he was the mastermind until then?
That's not what I'm saying. There are certain procedures when you want to extradite someone, and countries usually don't extradite people on someone's say-so.
So under what court system were we supposed to provide "proof"?
How about the world court? Would that have been good enough for you? The point is nothing about what happened on 9/11 or since has been legal or above board, why do you think that is?
Man your of the belief that there is now higher entity than the US, that is your mistake and one that you share with the shrub. The world court is where countries go to have issues ruled apron, if two countries have different ideas they have it resolved by a non partisan third party but then again the US has been to much of a coward to let some one else have any say. They rather attack second and third world countries and cry when somebody gives them weapons to defend them self with. Oh by the way, how many times have those countries and their people kicked your a$$?

You have not even proved 9/11. I remember everything but the problem is we only heard that 19 people were involved in that attack but according to you they all died and what is the proof you have to pass the blame on to Osama or anybody else, somebody must come forward and testify against these people but they are all died, and your government started to kidnap people and tortured them to justify the war and framed the charges against some people with the help of Pakistani government. There were so many ways you can get justice but your one eyed justice wanted regime change because those governments were the hindrance towards the economic goals of your country. Sadam and Taliban were stumbling block in the way of exploitation of the oil wealth of the Middle East. continues
If somebody wronged you, you should go after that person, not after particular nation because of one person. Do you always kill the entire family, if one member of a family is a criminal? What kind of civilized world are you living? And Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11, and not a single Iraqi was blamed for the 9/11. Because of your arrogance you will continue to pay a price for your foreign policy. You went to war because you wanted to show your might and frighten the world to submission, especially the Muslims. You started this war not against Osam but against Islam and the result will be it will continue for at least another 100 years, until you get tired and become weak. Your super power status has been reduced to super thug, no longer will you be in a position to intimidate those weaker nations or go for regime change. We are going to see regime change in Washington soon.
"Do you always kill the entire family, if one member of a family is a criminal?"
But I thought that going after the family was the Muslim thing to do?

Thank you, David, once again, for infusing common sense - not to mention hard evidence - regarding 9/11. It's astounding that you even have to go to these measures, but then the nuts on this website never cease to astound me.
You see, Daylight-in-the-head, in the United States we possess technology such as video cameras, computers and databases to record and store pertinent information.
Unlike the Middle East, which is still using rocks, sticks and mud, we have tangible, hi-tech evidence. Evidence that holds up in courts of law, on the international stage and in the public mindset.
So my advice to you, Dorklight, is to go do something useful. Wrap your dizzy head up in a dish towel, tie a radiator belt around it, and go find a group of camels that need herding. Your ridiculous posts are taking up valuable Nutscape space.
maybe you need to back up prior to 93, who supported the Taliban in Afgan against Russia?, who financed OBL against the same, who put Saddam in power and supported him for 30 years, who interfered in Iran's politics and installed the puppet Shah?, Still think USA is innocent?
You need to study a little bit more on CIA and Saddam from 1959 on, you also need to study CIA and OBL and whether those in power are worse than those the USA put in power doesn't matter, you interfered and as such created enemies which goes back to your first comment, they think they have a legitement reason to fight back
When the US keeps supporting dictators when they commit crimes like this is criminal in it's self. Any court would call what the US does Aiding and Abetting or at least an Accessory after the fact. How arrogant a people must you be to have your freedom on the back of other peoples oppression? America goes on about freedom but all you care about is American freedom, the irony is now your freedom is being jeopardized from within.
You don't admit that your country makes terrorism possible do you. You are still under the false illusion that your the good guy, even if it has been documented that the US gives money and weapons to terrorist and is in fact one them self.
If a country is committing terrorist act they should be boycotted, end of story but that means lost money and thats something America could never do.
DavidHalko; "Al-Qaeda ... trained a bomber in the Oklahoma City Federal Building Bombing in 1995"
What? This is the first time I've ever heard about an al Queda connection there. Does this mean that the US was harboring foreign terrorists back then?
McVeigh was a Turner Diary spouting neocon terrorist.
If any Al Qaida were involved in the Oklahoma City bombing it was with the blessings of the ultra-conservatives who publicly supported Turner Diary followers' self-proclaimed war against our government. (Go back and read what neocons were saying about our American government under Clinton. You'll be amazed at the viciousness.)
Neocons hate Democracy so much they would even side up with Radical Muslims against us all...
Thanks for pointing this out.
In fact, many believe the same thing happened with 911.
DavidHalko
The Islamic Terrorists who committed the act.
American terrorists and Israeli terrorists are committing the crimes for the las couple of decades. Please don't forget that. To extradite somebody you should have the extradition treaty, you can't force on a country if they refuse to hand over somebody. America should have tried other means of pressure. They wanted war because everything seemed to have preplanned, that is the truth. 9/11 was just an excuse.
(I am surprised at you, Daylight, for saying America is the main culprit.
I am very disappointed.)
Frankly speaking I am disappointed at your one sided justice and I am very much disappointed at the United States of America.
Citizens can not and do not declare war, they can commit crimes and then the proper way of dealing with it is to get evidence and proof then try and extradite them for trial. One is left to guess why the US never followed proper procedure, with all the lies and cover ups since then anyone with a brain knows it's not good.
"This is, indeed, the proper procedure."
If that is the case how many countries have the right to attack the US then? It's not a world where the biggest club is always right, we have laws, courts and rights but those never stop the US from infringing on another countries toes.
Making more excuses for you and your pathetic way of life?
I am not disappoint in you or your posts because you repeatedly demonstrated how stupid and uneducated you and your kind are. You know hate and nothing but hate. I surmise most of it stems from your sexual frustration but I'm sure there is more to then that.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Schoolchildren who had gathered to welcome the politicians were also killed.
"I saw bodies lying in the streets and some of the people were stealing the weapons of the dead soldiers," local resident Mohammad Rahim told Reuters news agency.
As far as the US going to Myanmar to help save people the reason they did not is because of people like you and the Press. Whenever the US tries to help people like you as they did in Afghanistan against the Russian invasion they are stabbed in the back by people like you. Just like in Iraq they are trying to help the Iraqis have a better life but some have turned on the US and called them invaders and worse. This after the US helped remove Saddam who was a Mass Murderer of people like you. The US came to free people in Iraq and all you do is stab them in the back and kill your neighbor because he is a Shiite. If a Shiite showed up at an Sunni club house, they'd slice off his head and use it for a soccer ball. Is that the fault of the US?
