" Makhdoom Amin Fahim, vice president of Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party, said she would land in Karachi and would bring democracy to Pakistan. Supporters, throwing flower petals and lighting firecrackers, chanted: "Long Live Benazir! Prime Minister Benazir!"
"Bhutto would return regardless of outcome of talks with President Gen. Pervez Musharraf that could see them share power after elections, another party official said. Musharraf, the U.S.-backed leader who is also head of Pakistan's military, has seen his popularity decline in recent months with a surge in attacks by Islamic militants and his failed attempt to fire the country's popular Supreme Court justice."

After a long period in exile for corruption, mismanagement and criminal activity, she is just coming back to continue the same old practice and her supporters feel that one more time they can start stealing the county, United States always promote corruption in the world especially in the Muslim world, so they can have the excuse to invade and change regime on and off and tag Muslims as violent people.

Here is my question, WHY? What right she have in Pakistan? She with her criminal husband corrupted Pakistan far worse than any government in the weird history of Pakistan. Isn't she the one in 1989 who went to Baghdad asking for Help in attacking India from Saddam Hussain? How can the west trust her? I won't.

How can the west trust Pervez Musharraf? His intelligence chief wire $100,000 to the LEAD 9/11 HIJACKER! His nuclear scientists have been behind ever nuke proliferation scandal in the 21st century. In 2005 his government funneled $500,000 to Al Qaeda. He gave Al Qaeda and the Taliban a safe haven in the tribal regions of Pakistan. In 2005 one of his generals gave "shoot to kill" orders for any U.S. troops that might cross the border from Afghanistan in hot pursuit of terrorists. My biggest concern about Bhutto is that she has been "negotiating" with Musharraf. Musharraf is an enemy of the American people and of freedom. He cannot be trusted.

Bhutto and Musharraf are both corrupt, but having them rule together may be a bit better than having either rule alone. After all, when thieves divide the loot, they always watch to make sure the other doesn't take more than his "fair" share.
What Bhutto can provide to Musharraf is a degree of political legitimacy. With the support of her political party, he may be strong enough to overcome the radically conservative clergy. Without her he is almost certain to be undermined and eventually overthrown.

Pakistan seems to be a popular place for exiles to make their return.

Go Benazir. Get that American puppet dictator out of his American bullet proof Cadillac paid for by American taxpayers. Get democracy back to that country. Send him in to exile in his uniform may be to Crawford, Texas. The two biggest morons can rest in peace there.
Look at your neighbor India. It is a sprawling democracy and technological leader in the world.

Can we stop all this childishness and namecalling?
I wasn't advocating Bhutto's return or cheerleading for Musharraf either. I posted a story without taking any sides. Seems some of you already have, and that's fine. But please stop with the namecalling and immature behavior if you don't agree with some people here.
I don't think calling any of those folks corrupt is any worse than calling our own government corrupt. THEY ALL ARE! Bhutto is just prettier than all of them!
LOL!

Actually there is no corruption on the part of Pervez Musharraf, the only corrupted thing he is doing according to the Pakistani public is by fighting an unnecessary war for the United States.

Musharraf heads a military dictatorship under which Muslim extremism is clearly growing. If the return of Ms. Bhutto, no matter her past record, inches Pakistan back towards a democracy (via national elections) it will be good news. Anyone applauding the continued Musharraf regime unwittingly wishes for an eventual extremist takeover and all the backward-looking terrorist-supporting mayhem that that necessarily involves.

Apparently Musharraf is cleared for election without taking off his uniform. I have posted that story on netscap, but here is the original link.

And i agree. Anything U.S could do in my opinion is let Musharraf win the election which he hopefully will, and i suggest United States to stop preasurising Pakistan into doing more unnecessary fighting against Al-Qaida, the country is unstable in politics, pressurizing it will only make it more unstable.
By the way, removal, did you happen to check out this news which suggests that Musharraf will not have to remove his uniform, i thought it was a big thing yet, not much attention is giving.
What do you think about it? http://politics.netscape.com/story/2007/09/16/m...

Earlier, a government spokesman said that Bhutto will not be deported in the manner of another former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, a government spokesman said. Sharif was expelled hours after he flew in on Monday.
