Although CNN could not independently confirm the authenticity of the video, it did feature the logo of As-Sahab Media, the company that traditionally handles al Qaeda communications to the public.
The 47-minute videotape was obtained by terrorism expert Laura Mansfield before it was to appear on several Islamist Web sites known for carrying statements from al Qaeda and other radical groups.

Anyone having a bit of a problem with that statement? I mean exactly what does this mean? Obtained? How do you obtain something like that? Who alerts you to it. How? In what form do you obtain it? An AVI file? A dvd disc? Why isnt the one that is providing the media under very serious scrutiny/investigation?
If someone somewhere on the planet created a digital video or transfered to digital from analog media there would be some kind of electronic trace /fingertip of the computer where the file was originated or what program was used etc. All you have to do is follow the chain of events that digitally lead to the final so called obtained video and then suddenly you have a number of hot spots you can trace back. So again guys what is wrong here message after message?

Lets see, humm, "they" want you to believe OBL is still alive so "they" find "some guy" and put makeup on him so that he "looks" like OBL and intentually dyed his beard and hair black and gave him a tan so that the "fake" dosen't actually look like OBL and causes suspicions that the Pic is a fake. Thus creating the belief that OBL is dead?

how practical. Let me get this straight. Its kind of like a major CD or DVD release right? You stock up the stores weeks ahead of time with the product, but you officially release it on a certain day. I struggle to even bother discussing this blatant engram/PTSD/fear mongering NAZI tactics being used. I must however be a voice of my time and make these direct notes to these subjects that are so apparent. I would not want history to show that I was actually falling for these lies. You need to open up your mind and think.
If OBL were dead and we killed him, the terrorist groups would make this known. OBL would become the Mother of all Martyrs (MOM).
If OBL were dead and we ;did not; kill him, his (body) location would be made known and set up for a bombing raid. This would accomplish the same thing, OBL becomes MOM (Mother of all Martyrs).
The strange part is that if OBL were ;true; to his cause he would have set it up for him to become MOM, he hasn;t. This IMO is what we should be pointing out to the terrorist world.

If, in fact, Osama is still alive, he sure isn't making any effort to convince anyone of that fact. This deal looks very much to me like a fake. Putting audio over a still photo is a good way to avoid having to synch the voice artist with the old video.

And let's not forget that Bin baby was trained AND armed by our very own C.I.A. to fight the Russians. That effectively makes him a mercenary for our government. His face only really shows up when they feel they have to make people feel afraid. So what now...the 911 event that will usher in the attack on Iran. The CIA not only trained Bin Ladin but also gave him weapons. Our government was afraid the Soviets would take over in Afghanistan, expand & control the oil flow in the region. Reagan called the mujadaheen "freedon fighters." Once the mujahadeen ousted the Soviets, they later came to be known as the taliban. Our government thought the hardline taliban would be good for business. The taliban decided they didn't want any foreigners on their land, not the Soviets not anyone else. Incidentally, it's around this time BL also met up with Musharaf. Musharaf was impressed with Bin Ladin's ability to fight & win a proxy war against the Soviets. And BL's engineering/technical abilities blowing up bridges for example. They became buddies & have been ever since. BL is most likely dead; if alive he would be on a sick bed in Rawalpindi in Musharaf's home attended to by Mushraf's personal Physician.

I would feel a lot better if it were not for the fact that this and all the 3 earlier videos that proved to be frauds, were not handled, downloaded, and translated by the Northeast Intelligence Network. This is clearly a zionist organization headed by such notarized persons as Lee kaplan, the founder of the extreme zionist group, the Dafka, and is so Pro Israel as to never, and I repeat, never to give an Arab any good press at all. The man simply hates Muslims too much to ever be unbiased. As he is obviously Israel minded, I feel his efforts cannot be trusted. The same could be said of his predecessor Laura Mansfield, who supplied the translations for the earlier videos. Israel wants this turmoil in the middle east, and it serves its purposes to keep Bin Laden as a threat. How can this source ever be trusted for the truth? More Israeli intel like that used by Bush to legitimise his Iraq invasion, and we all saw how flawed that intel was.

AmericanIdiot sent me a private message over this comment, accusing me of anti-semitism. I simply stated facts about who translates these things. Who downloads these things and then who leaks these things to the medias. These are facts. These people presented the other 3 videos which were proven fraud. They made the bad translations of farsi/persian that inflamed everyone against Iran for saying something they didn't say. Pointing this out is not anti-semitic. They also helped supply Bush with his faulty intel leading to the Iraq invasion. Prudence dictates that these people cannot be trusted to be qualified to supply these things unless it is thoroughly checked out. I think failing to verify information is asking for trouble.

And as noted by Joeblowe above, this is a still photo with added audio. The photo is said to be computer enhanced to darken the beard and make him appear more robust, whatever that means. How easy is it to simply have the dialogue manufactured onto any device from snips and pieces of other speeches? I see it all the time. Where is proof of dating, like the newspaper also mentioned by Joe. How about a second counter on the video to show any altering effects? Sorry, this stuff isn't hollywood enough yet. If OBL went through the time to even make an audio, why not an actual video as well, instead of a still photo imposed onto video? I think it's going to turn out as another fraud tape. But who keeps making these tapes and why? Sorry, the earlier referrence post was Big G's.

But Bin Ladin took a moderate no-body loser President into a hero overnight. This was proposed well ahead of time by PNAC.
Bush wanted to go after Iraq and is on public record saying his daddy should have finished the job. All JR. needed was an excuse, and he got it.

The last 4 or 5 years, OBL has NOT been a priority for our president, now on the anniversary of 9/11, all i have seen on the news is how powerful AlQuada has become, building their armies, yada yada!! OBL and AlQuada have not been important until the LAST days of Bushies term, and suddenly yet again, everyone is being expected to cower to the threat of OBL and AlQuada.
