Harboring this criminal should land all involved in jail. This woman wasn't "in the shadows" as our hacks like to call it.The people sworn to uphold the constitution should all be ashamed.

"We are sad, but at the same time we are angry," said Javier Rodriguez, a Chicago immigration activist who worked with her. "How dare they arrest this woman?"
How dare they try to force the FOOcking illegals down my throat. I cant stand the fact that they think they can trump our laws. How come the Mexicans think we should give them special privileges? I have a friend who waited a year for his wife to move here from asia and he didnt complain.
Get back to Mexico and protest your own government before you come here and protest ours.

They're actually using a borrowed idea. When Mexico owned the territory that is now Texas, they permitted settlers from the States to enter the land on one condition: that the settlers not bring slaves with them. Well, the settlers brought them in ILLEGALLY anyway and then took over the territory.
It's a damn shame the Native Americans didn't have minute men at the time of the "conquest". That would have avoided all this mess and then people would be in their proper countries of origin.

I totally agree with you in this matter.
I wanted to give you a positive rating, however, is it really necessary to swear and/or insult?
Yes, it is trough that a lot of people try to get into the US, and other countries (e.g. in Europe) leagally. They wait (im)patiently the time it takes to receive the authorisation (or not).
Accepting illegals would/is unfair to the legals.
Accepting the blackmail of "I have a child" should NOT be accepted.
and by the way, I am (usualy) a liberal, which prooves, that liberals and conservatives (that's what I guess from your nickname) can agree on lot of points.

Just like the Bush Administration, A bunch of crooks hiding in a white building and no one goes to jail.

Then the child can stay in foster care. She still has to go. She came here illegally, she broke the law. She stayed here, she broke the law. If she worked here, she broke the law. She doesn't deserve any sympathy. Just because she had a child born in this country doesn't make her any more legal. I am getting very tired of pressing 1 for english.

It doesn't matter HOW you enter the US, or any other country for that matter.
If you enter illegaly or under false pretences, e.g. a tourist visa, but actualy planning to stay (and work?) and use(or abuse)the advantages of that country, you are illegal, and can/should expect to be deported.
On top of that, she has been deported before, so she knows.
The fact she has a child, even, because born on US soil (and facilities?) an "US citizen" (probably double nationality), does not change a thing to that rule.
If a LEGAL tourist prematurely gives birth to her child in the US, that child is also a US citizen. The (legal tourist) mother does NOT get the right to stay in the US. She can go back home (with her child) or she might try to get a residence and work permit. She might get it or not (most likely not, eventough she entered legaly).
So why should there be a differene for illegals? Having a child would become a blackmail weapon: "I have a child, so don't deport me.."

No need of that!
As long as the kid a sa minor is dependent on his parent, he has to go where the parent goes. And if the parent is illegal, then the kid has to follow her when she gets deported. Later on, when the kid is an adult, he/she may reclaim the right to reside in the US!

From the article,
Re: "We are sad, but at the same time we are angry," said Javier Rodriguez, a Chicago immigration activist who worked with her. "How dare they arrest this woman?"
Not meant to sound like a racist statement... but, Javier Rodriguez is a Puerto Rican and he's defending a Mexican.
Mexicans and Puerto Ricans have never gotten along with eachother. Most of them, from what I've noticed in the big cities, hate eachother.
It just seems odd that Rodriguez would take sides with Arellano.

It is about time, gee only took a year, addios amigo:)I love how she is called an IMMIGRATION ACTIVIST, Take your PC jargon and put it where the sun doesn't shine...she is an illegal person in the USA who was deported once and commited an illegal act again by coming back. Must be very difficult for some to understand. I guess???

Nothing unreasonable about ABANOCLA's hostility towards illegal immigrants. The key word is ILLEGAL in case you are visually deaf. This country was built on immigrants -- LEGAL immigrants, not criminals, murderers (New Jersey shooting, remember PsychoHosebeast? Or are you so liberal you don't care about murdered children?) The only good illegal immigrant is one on a bus headed back to Mexico under guard.

Psycho - You may want to discuss your unreasonable hostility towards those who believe in enforcement of our laws with an analyst.
