Ah...breaking out that special bottle of merlot...bye, Karl...good luck whomever you're going to try to help (assuming they want your help) in 'o8...and good riddance, too...

avatar

good riddnce is right! I would have rather seen him run out of town on a rail but at this point, who cares?! he's leaving!

As he said, they know each other's phone numbers, and I can assure anyone he is not "gone". I finally got my thoughts together:

Mama.

I was thinking exactly the same.

There are still some major rodents on board. Gonzo probably is the pet rat and can not swim by himself.

Cheney is big and probably has a raft hidden somewhere.

The Capitan will be the last as it is supposed to be.

You know it's going to be a very interesting week when

You turn on the computer and the headlines read

ROVE RESIGNS!!!!

I thought the site had been hacked, or I was still dreaming.

When I read that he wanted to spend more time w/ his wife...not for nothing, but,Have you seen his his wife?

My guess is that something is going down and he has to leave in order to what??? What could be the reasons behind his resignation?

Corruption Charges

BushCo is going to start another war, and Rove's going into Cheney's Bunker

Someone has pics of rove dressed in leather /blackmail

He's on his way to Paraguay

Gonzo will no longer be at the WH and won't be able to protect anyone so he's getting out of dodge

FBI Investigation? SEC Investigation? Indictments to come? Hmmm

In any event, the reasons will prove more compelling than actual resignation for reasons that may effect all of us. I think that made sense:-)

Bush CO Empire begins to rip apart at the seams. OH HAPPY MONDAY

Simple. If he waits till the end of W's term, no one will be able to pardon him or commute his sentence(s).

I don't think he's the rat desserting the sinking ship. I think he and Bush knows they had done all the damage that they could do, and he is leaving in time for the repugs to attempt to regroup before the 2008 elections.

You have to give it to those crafty SOB's, they know when to hold em and when to fold em. It was time for Rove to go, he had done what he came there to do, there is only a matter of months left for the repugs and they are trying to get back into the good graces of the Christian Cons.

IMO!!!

not2needy is right on.....this has all been orchestrated very carefully...Rove has done his dirty deeds....time to move on to the next campaign/election....I'm sure he already has already spent much time amassing dirt on the opposition...Rove is a pig...all that is wrong about our "democracy"....he incites fear and spreads lies....he should have been indicted for his many felonies...

avatar
Reply

Absolutely time4change. Dirty Deeds, not done Dirt Cheap!!! This was the strategy planned all anong.

avatar
Reply

No way, they didn't plan this. Well, at least Bush didn't plan it. After all, Bush can't survive without Rove. It will be interesting to see how he does with the remainder of his term.

avatar
Reply

Rove will still be there, This is just for the benefit of the Christian Cons, to get back into their good graces.

avatar
Reply

Bush will be just fine...Rove may be gone from this adminstration in an official capacity, but he's only a short phone call away from Bush. Rove is Bush's brain, remember...he's got to have that lifeline! LOL...

avatar
Reply

And who knows, he may be planning the strategy for Fred Thompson as we speak. He's the king of dirt, probably on the old dirt trail right now, trying to dig up anything his next candidate can use against any Liberal nominated.

avatar
Reply

And considering Fred Thompson's record, he will need a dirty player like Rove to create or obtain all the dirt he can get his hands on!

There's a good reason FT is staying out of the race so far. He's too much of a coward to get in the fight and take his licks, and he's got way too much going against him that he'll need to bury his dirt as deep as possible (like Bush/Rove successfully did with the AWOL ala 2000).

It ain't easy being sleazy.

avatar
Reply

Probably what Rove is doing as we speak. Either bruying FT's baggage or trying to dig up baggage on all the potential Liberals.

Oh Karl has a lonnnnnnnn... arm ...he can direct this admin from afar!!!

Reply

dude,

You and not2needy are very insightfull; Karl may be gone but not forgotten. I'm certain that he will be working with the GOP's presidential comittee - with or without a specific candidate. He was successful in putting Bush in Austin and DC. That will garnish him at least the consideration from any candidate's post-convention strategy.

avatar
Reply

I don't know about that. "He intended to use both politics and policy to create a permanent Republican majority." And we all saw how that plan went over in 2006. He won't be with the GOP anymore. A high senior executive with Halliburton? Yeah, I see that one happening.

avatar
Reply

jaem,

Rove's a political animal not greedy for money. Politics is his schtick and he been extremely successfull, which is why I believe he'll have a definite role in the 2008 GOP Presidential campaign.

avatar
Reply

It's his element, his passion, from an early age, and he doesn't even have to get paid to do the dirt he does.

avatar

Bush doesn't need to survive. He has only 16 months left and has no compunction to please anyone. The dems will continue to spew and huff and puff until he is gone but until themn there is really very littel the dems can do. They continue with the impeachment dreeam but can't get their act together enought to actually do something, ANYTHING> I voted for the dems because we needed a change in philosophy. We did not get any change. We are back to "do anything to get power, say anthing to get power, and then when we do have the power we will begin to think about what we are goijng to do. I need to know now! I am tired of nothing but bush bashing. BGUsh is history. Tell me my future in your eyes>

Some reasonable points buried under the hysterically bad spelling and grammar...

To be precise, Rove's the rat that SUNK the ship. He's gittin' while the gittin's good, something his boss doesn't have the luxury to do.

That idiot could resign too, Nixon did!

I agree. I think this is more to save face for the party than anything else.

As far as leaving before the SHTF...yeah, he kinda has to. I don't believe Hitlary will let him be involved in her administration that will bring chaos to the masses.

avatar

"I don't believe Hitlary" - aren't you getting overly agitated?

Looks like dj already has resigned himself to a Hillary Presidency.

dj himself said:

"I don't believe Hitlary will let him be involved in her administration"

That would mean that dj believes Hillary will get elected, since in order to have an adminstration, one must first be elected President.

Even an unkempt, unshaven, filthy "scumbag" like you should be able to understand that.

Naah - maybe not.

And the truth will reveal itself!!! IMHO Hilary with the Clinton staff will take the WH again. We will stockpile money, then theGOP will come back after 2 terms and put Jeb Bush in to spend all the movey and turn the rest of the world against us again. :-D

By that time Rove will be drawing SS and probably in the Federal Witness Protection Program...

djrevelky----"I don't believe Hitlary will let him be involved in her administration that will bring chaos to the masses".

Well, lest you misinterpret, Bush's administration has brought about the chaos that you seem to fear but don't seem to recognize. Rove has been a major, major part of that. Hopefully by the 2008 election Rove will be in prison. However, it will take a generation to undo the mess that your fearless leader has created.

Chaos? No. Pulling the nation out of the morass begun under Clinton's watch? Yes!

libsRfunny----Yeah, we're well versed in the fact that Clinton got a hummer while in office. Buy a clue.

That's the only way he would get a clue mc, buy one!!!!!

My god, that was hilarious LibsRCool, that really did make me bust out laughing.

Seriously, I am convinced now people like you are paid to be here and make asinine statements like like a two year old who knows nothing of the truth, and even ignores it.

Your comments remind me of grade school when people used to tease each other with hateful remarks for no reason other than the fact that their life sucks and they have to take it out on someone else.

I'll learn you one thing about Clinton, and make no mistake wise ass, that our economy grew under Clinton and was headed upward, houses didn't cost a fortune to own, people didn't think life was so bad, and we had money in the bank when he left office, a surplus.

I am not saying Clinton was a Saint, but comparably, just look at what we have been through with this current president in the last 6 or 7 years. Do you really think all this just happened to us coincidentally? By chance? ...

avatar

Cont.

Is it by chance that laws were changed to affect our freedoms and commerce, big business, and how the IMC is literally taking over America with Homeland Security and all of it's very dangerous directives that could easily land us into a dictatorship and squash our freedoms. Why all of a sudden were we attacked by terrorism? Why did so many home owners get scammed losing thousands of dollars and foreclosing homes during these last year or so, and billions of dollars simply "lost" by the military and government. Is it just by chance all this happened under Bush's watch?

No, it is not by chance, not saying it was planned exactly like it went, but you can bet, this man Rove had a hand in everything that sucked for this country in the last 6 years. That is the only thing to me that's not a coincidence, that Rove was Bush's right hand man in all this garbage...

avatar

Cont.

Unfortunately, we won't see how high that disgusting pile of garbage will be until this is all over, but I'm thinking the size of a 10' NY city street sweeper pile of trash and goop times one billion, but a little smellier and grotesque greed like pus oozing out everywhere.

You are pathetic lAf, and so is this administration.

avatar

Funny thing about Republicans in power, they are a hell of a lot more efficient making new laws while on the Supreme Court than they ever have been in Congress.

I wonder why.

Ah, LibsRfunny, another rat swimming in the wrong direction!

libsR not.

Why do you obtain so many negative votes ?

Seems to be you are just out of contact with reality.

Do you hear voices or experience extrange visions?

Look for profesional help if you can afford health insurance and the meds.

Since libscape is the opposite of reality, getting negs here is a good thing. Except to whiners, of course.
