It's been my experience that Grand Juries normally have fairly good judgment.

They're not always the "Tool of the Prosecutors" they're made out to be.

They probably realized that even if the charges were TRUE, they would never get a jury to convict.

The doctor was cleared of the mercy killings; whereas, Kervorkian was convicted of only supplying the method for terminally ill people to end their lives. Hypocrisy at its best and most evident in the US.

It has been said that a prosecutor could get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich - obviously this grand jury found that something was not Kosher in the prosecutor's argument

Help me out here. Now is it basically true what they did here (I heard all of the details back when this happened and what I heard was that they pretty much did do these "mercy killings") and as joeblowe said, they wouldn't find a jury to convict. Or was it that they most likely didn't do these mercy killings??

who are these women to play god?! they should not have mercy killed anyone! they should have left these old useless, lifeless, unable to move handicapped old people to die a slow painful death in the flood where they could never stand a chance of surviving and could only count the last seconds of their lives as water poured into their lungs while they sit there struggling for life and forgiveness.

              these dirty ******s...

Or if they were lucky enough to survive the flood and not drown, being in filthy, bacteria filled water and suffering the consequences of enduring that.

Great sarcasm. No one should ever be put in a situation where they have to make such a call but certainly there was no criminal intent. Ridiculous to essentially ruin this womans career as well as those under her charge. I am sure she will never forget that day.

The USA has plenty of money to send ships overseas and provide military care 24/7 to the world to the people that hate us. This is for public relations.

Yet in the usa medical people had to struggle to make choices that would only have to be made in a 3rd world country on on a battlefield.

I do not even know who would want to be a doctor-indentured servitude to the insurance companies.

I can remember when I worked as an optican. Before insurance we made good commissions and good money. After we took insurance everything went downhill.

Well, when the next Katrina hits it will be worse because our National Guard has been deployed to the other side of the planet. Oh, but don't worry, they're "making America safe."

                  Make sense of that.

Yes because every fetus and its stem cells are safe and gay people cannot overthrow marriage, and cheney shoots his pals in the face w impugnity.

Boy, it is so sad to see our people being puppeted by the administration.

The pathetic red vote masses are so incensed by the muslim prochoice feminist multicutural panreligious bi-racial pro gay woman doctors of the US that they cannot stand me and my ilk.

Gee, wonder if any charges would have been brought if the health care providers were men?

Re: Louisiana's attorney general had Pou and the two nurses arrested last summer and accused the three women of "playing God."

The courts "Play God" every time they go against that, which God has Biblically made clear. This of course is what Satan did and does to this day.

As for the doctor and two nurses: If there was not evidence of wrong doing, I am glad it stopped with a grand jury and did not go to full blown trial.

                    Debra...

When they say Simmer Down Now, they mean it.

Is it the Simmer, the down or the now that they did not understand. Simmer down now.
