Before 2008 rolls around I am going to make certain I remember those that voted for this bill and do all I can to get them out of office. Here are two, Dick Durbin and Barack Obama. Illinois taxes are outrageous! I have a friend that is a principal in a Chicago suburb. She has had to hired extra teachers that speak Spanish to communicate with the parents of students and some of the students. She has no idea of the child's education level because they come here with no kind of documentation. So again the tax payer foots the bill. As if that isn't enough our city built some low cost housing that cost us millions. The locals here didn't want to live in them. So what do our genius city fathers do? They import folks from Chicago and build more. For Pete's sake enough is enough!

Thanks abntv! More on Durbin: Some Senate sources even suggest that there may even be movement in the Senate this week during the debate on the Defense Authorization Bill. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) announced Friday he intends to offer the DREAM Act as an amendment to the defense bill; Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) has filed an amendment that would increase H-1B visas; and some have suggested that Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) may attempt to offer an amendment that would expand the H-2B program. Seven Principles of True Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

            1.Reduce overall levels of immigration.

2.No amnesty for illegal aliens, or massive new guest worker programs.

3.Protection of U.S. jobs and wages.

            4.Enforcement of employer sanctions laws.

5.Protection of the integrity of the political asylum laws.

            6.An immigration time out

            7.Equal treatment for all.

At the same time, there are illegal immigrants who fill in the least qualified and the least paid positions, doing "dirty jobs" that most Americans are too squeamish to do. I am sure that American economy relies on that sea of labor a lot and it would be interesting to estimate that, too.

Thats what the guest worker program was to adress. IT just got out of hand when we failed to take the first step of immigration reform. ANd this is something that without, all other laws/bills/amendments/etc. are worthless. - "SECURE OUR BORDERS"

Kind of puts a damper on the amnesty thing doesn't it? To you liberals that's A-M-N-E-S-T-Y. Could any one of U tell me the benefits of all those illegals in the country. I mean besides doing the laundry for the liberals.
