    From the article:

"He served two months in jail and completed five years of sex offender treatment following a 1990 incest conviction after he violently raped a female relative, according to court records."

"Adhahn, a legal permanent resident of the U.S., could not have been deported for the incest conviction because it was not an aggravated felony and it was his first offense, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Virginia Kice said Friday. But a 1992 conviction for intimidation with a dangerous weapon could have made him deportable, and Adhahn was being held this week on an immigration complaint. He also was charged with failing to register as a sex offender."

A VIOLENT RAPE of a female relative isn't a felony???? But no more than two years after the rape he did commit a crime he could have been deported for but wasn't? And he wasn't deported for failing to register as a sex offender. Aren't plea bargains a great thingâ;¦ not to mention our governments refusal to effectively enforce our immigration laws no matter what. And now because of that refusal to enforce those laws this young girl had to pay with her life.

I am just appalled how this has been allowed to take place. Illegals are able to come to this country and commit some of the most heinous crimes. I am so tired of this country taking pride in helping others when there is so many in need right here. Where are our opportunities and protection? We foot the bill! Our government is only interested in fattening their own pockets. That child never had the chance to become anything she wanted to be. This is her land. Who is he to come here and take that away? I could think of alot of things that needs to happen to him and none of them include our so-called justice system.

Would there be an illegal-immigrant/deportation component to this topic if the guy had been a native-born American citizen like, say, Richard Allen Davis was? Neither immigration status nor immigration law in general has ANYTHING to do with this tragic event. The fault lies SOLELY in a legal system that continues to treat crimes of predation upon children -- sexual OR otherwise -- as remediable "behavior", from which a perpetrator can be successfully "rehabilitated." That is BULLSH1T. Predation upon children should be a one-strike crime, period. One strike, you're out. No "two year sentences", no "rehab", no "registry" lists for re-entry into society -- because there will BE no re-entry into society. Barring subsequent proof of a wrongful conviction, all sentences for child predation should be permanent imprisonment, no exceptions. If that had been done in this guy's case, that 12 year old girl would be alive right now.

First of all my heart goes out to the Linnick family. As for the filthy scum bag that abducted her, raped her and killed her I say this. I hope you get the maximum sentence the law will allow. To the senators that voted for the Kennedy/McCain bill I say you are the most self serving, arrogant, bunch of prima donnas ever to serve in the US senate. This man should have been deported years ago.HE SHOULD HAVE NEVER, EVER BEEN ALLOWED TO STAY IN THIS COUNTRY. It is the responsibility of the the Senate & the President to uphold the constitution by protecting the American People. Well You haven't and You aren't right now. How can you explain to the Linnick family the reason you have not done your jobs? You all should be tried for sedition and removed from office for your failure to this family and this precious little girl.I hope the American People will remember the names of every senator that voted for that bill. I can assure you if you can't I have a list.

This seems like a good case for more executions. Only when criminals know that they will be put to death within days of being convicted of crimeslike these, will they stop commiting them. I say hang this dirtbag, take everything he owns, sell it, and give the proceeds to the family.
