Yeah, this is cool news. Now Al Quaida can all go and do their jihad against India, as they called for last week.
I'm already too happy, now that a few friends MAY be safe in less than a year, and they've been waiting even longer than that to ditch Bush's Problem.

This only works if they can override his veto. According to the numbers, they don't. So this looks like more pre-election grandstanding to me.

You're exactly correct, grandstanding for what purpose? To get another veto! The House didn't even keep their promise to wait until September, proponents saying they can't wait, waiting only brings more US casualties. Strange how their willing to accept the casualties that are sure to happen until next April. So here comes the expected veto. That'll get posted, Bush will get criticized, the terrorists will be emboldened, nothing changes. Anyone who thinks this nothing vote is somehow good news is an idiot!

On Labor day weekend, as they get ready for a report the results will have swayed to 245-210 and the Senate will have
picked up Kyl and Collins or Coleman..(making it 58-42)
By Thanksgiving it will
be 62-38..NO ONE WILL GO BACKWARDS ON THIS ONE
(no one has)..
Every changed vote has been a progressive
one towards ending this event
with intelligence and dignity.

Keep hoping.
While you're at it, keep hoping that someone will believe your BS claims of being an engineer.
Fantasy is about all you have.

So because killing people and blowing up things keeps people employed, we should continue haphazardly criss-crossing the globe spoiling for our next conflict? Seems to me our troops would be better off homeless than they are walking around in a foreign country thousands of miles away from their families wondering if today will be the day they step on a grenade.

proto, the troops want to go after the real perpetrators of 911... and Bush has upset/infuriated so many Arabs... he has extended this war another generation... besides he has the troops doing missions that the CIA formerly did... political assasination. torture etc... Bush has created work for a long time for those dedicated soles in the military!
