It is beyond me to understand why anyone would have an issue with how a murderer was put to death. He lived his life without concern for anyone elses life, but now, in his prolonged but inevitable death, we worry about his. We worry about his "feelings"... his "state of mind". Given the chance (combined with his own personal, illogical reasoning), he would not think twice about crushing the life from the very people who are concerned about how he died. I seriously doubt that his mind would wonder off to think, "I hope I'm doing this humanely enough and they're not suffering too much."
I believe that there are things a human can do that takes them off the list of having the right to be treated as a human. He was sentenced to death; he died. Nothing more to talk about.

Well, it didn't take two hours, it took 12 minutes, which is high average for how long death by lethal injection takes. It took two hours from the time the process began, when they brought him in. And yes, of course it took longer, because they took ten tries to find a vein because the guy was so fat. Hell, I've had a doctor stick me so many times I stopped him and asked if he'd like ME to give it a shot, and I'm NOT fat. Clearly the headline was spun to catch the eye of people skimming the news, because if you stop and read the article, you find out it's not quite what the headline implies. So the usual process takes 20 minutes, and this took two hours--so what? The guy got to live two hours longer. Not like he has somewhere to go.

Comments such as those posted by Jinxed007 clearly state the sad state of affiars. People are fighting callous sociopathic behaviors with callous sociopathic solutions. This is a country run by sociopaths! An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth does nothing more than perpetuate murder. Calling the kettle black shall we say?? The answer lies deeper in our natures, families, roots, environments, upbringing (or lack of),and lack of resources for the mentally ill or psychiatrically challenged, but some such as Jinxed007 may be incapable of remorse or empathy just like the convicted criminal. What are we becoming?? We are living in hell, and recreating it every day with these attitudes.
