You wanna know what I really think?

I think screw Wolfowitz, fire his arse.

No graceful standown for him! He has abused the authority of his post!

    Fire Him! Send him Packing!

If you think I am saying this because I am angry and think we need to send a message. You would be 100% correct!

I'm inclined to agree. It's comical he believes he has room for 'negotiation.' But whether they go along with giving in to him or not, there's no 'graceful standown' for him. He's a sleaze, and the whole world knows it. (well, the whole world that isn't CON anyway.)

What is wrong with YOUR FIRED!!!! This making a deal with him to resign is crap. Simply tell him he is FRIED and don't let the door slam on your way out, do not pass go and do not collect $400,000. YOUR FRIED. Pathetic

I think you are right, alakazam, but it's not the culture of the Bank to be so forthright.

It's more likely that they'll give him a vote of no confidence first.

Wolfowitz is just looking to secure that $400k bonus he was due next month if he had a clean record while at the bank. It stipulates he has to have a clean record to get it, so he will be doin anything he can for it.

"Wolfowitz is just looking to secure that $400k bonus"

He only should not get the bonus but his sweetie should be fired for accepting a job for which she wasn't entitled.

Why do you think he was so incredibly generous to this woman? He may already have gotten those...and didn't want her to speak to the press about it.

As a chief architect of the perfection of the Iraq Invasion and Pacification plan, how can you possibly question the depth and quality of Wolfie's planning and vision. Why he's almost as perfect as his only remaining supporter, George Bush. Almost... Not quite, but almost.

I would add his promoted girlfriend to the list of his supporters, but now he's dumped on her claiming it's all her fault that this whole scandal came up.

Of course it's his girlfriend's fault. Have you seen anyone connected with him admit that they were at fault about anything? Next thing we may hear from Bush is that it was Wolfowitz's girlfriend's fault that Iraq is in the mess it's in.

Wonder what Wolfowitz has on others and who?

I wonder if he thinks that this is going to provide him with a clean slate? The tarnish is there to stay.

How soon will he begin his auto biography?

Thanks Beau, for some reason this remind me of the movie, The Godfather, the scene with the yellow satan sheets & the horse's head, the message.

              *sigh*

I'm not even sure why this kind of stuff doesn't even surprise me anymore. Apathetic? Probably. Between Enron, Haliburton, this, who can keep up? It's to the point that I think all of these idiots vacation in the same spots every year, just so they can meet and plan their next assinine endeavor. And because they talk "business", they get to write the trip off on their taxes.

              Whatever...

"President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney declared their confidence in his abilities."

This is pathetic! One more example of the kind of people favored by Bush-Cheney.

Alberto Gonzales is an other one.

Corruption all the way to the top!

Fire his butt! Negotiations for a clean record? Give me a break. Throw the bum out. He doesn't care about his "clean" record thing. He cares about the bonus. I hope they send him packing and let him know in no uncertain terms what a jerk he is.

And where are the Neocons when you need 'em. It would be a great laugh to see how they would spin this crapola!

Wolfowitz needs to clear out his desk and leave TODAY. And he needs to carry a mop when leaving so that he can erase the trail of slime.

The Board Memebers are afraid that Bush will be able to pull U.S. $$ out of the Bank in retaliation. The Board members need to stand up for what is right. Bush has enough troubles without mucking with the bank for petty retaliation. Bush won't stand by Wolfowitz once Wolfowitz is gone from the scene.

Obvious intentional violation of the World Bank Charter.

Where are those right wing hard cores who constantly bring up their continued outrage over The Clinton BJ?

I guess it's OK if you PAY someone with TAXPAYER money for the BJ.

That's just good ol' capitalism right?

If you've ever read the book.."THE CREATURE FROM JEKYLL ISLAND" you may come to the conclusion that we need to fire them all at the World Bank.

Pure and simple....we've been duped all along by the true intentions of this institution. Rather than help poor nations, they actually encourage famine and evil dictators. Wolfowitz is no more than a Neo-Con right wing ideolog, a Bush crony whose theories are as whacky as the chucklehead we have in the White House.

It's a wonder how we aren't all on the roadside living in cardboard boxes.

Wolfie, Cheney, Rummy, they are all there, this is where the Iraq invasion idea was hatched. Yet they claim there were no plans for such an attack prior to 9/11. It especially cracks me up when Kristol appears on FoxNews as an "impartial observer" (LOL).

                                            Beau,

I think the connection becomes obvious if, for a moment, you consider the possibility of him being an undercover operative for Mossad, the Israeli intelligence Agency. All of his policies and actions, including the push for Iraqi war have benefited the state of Israel. The only fly in the ointment is his relationship with his girlfriend, who happens to be a Libyan of Islamic faith.

By the way, it is not just ethical lapses, we are also talking about his moral lapses!

One of Bush's many crimes would be allowing this sorry sack of a man to get any bonus for his actions.

Why do we want to spare him any further embarrassment? I for one would be perfectly happy standing a few feet away from him in a park and screaming with laughter and pointing at him. He should be tarred and feathered along with Bush and the rest of his cronies.

That man has a lot of nerve.

Let's see! I will resign if you drop the charges, but if the charges aren't dropped i will stay!! Where is the logic in that? He as much as admitted his guilt when he asked for softening of the charges.

Again, i never cease to be amazed.
