"NBC said that a time stamp on the package indicated the material was mailed in the two-hour window between the first burst of gunfire in a high-rise dormitory and the second fusillade, at a classroom building. Thirty-three people died in the rampage, including the gunman, 23-year-old student Cho Seung-Hui, who committed suicide."

Well, why not. Let's post his stuff all over the news. Make him famous like Bonnie and Clyde? There will be a book deal and movie! It will inspire others to do the same. Columbine wasn't big enough? Maybe they will build a momument to his like they did the OKC bombers?
I'm surprised some Islamic Terrorist group hasn't claimed repsonsbility. Now they are saying someone named A. Ishmael sent the photos in? Some people are just plain evil, and best serve the world I think being flower food not smelling the flowers. This is just another sicko, Islamic or not.

I wish they would not show anything he sent them because that is just what he wanted. Why should anything be done for him now. If the video and other things he sent would help prevent another shooting then they should turn it over to the right people who can use it in a positive way and not just use it for their ratings.
NBC needs to focus on the victims.
Peace to the victims and their families.

When a fan at a sporting event runs onto the field the networks will not show their face. Why in God's name are they plastering this evil idiotic moron's face all over TV and the print media. They are catering to exactly what he wnanted.

How could not a single person have seen this coming?
They claim teachers wanted him in counseling. Several believed one day he might actually do something like this, quote, unquote.
Why does no one ever step in and actually DO something when they have strong suspicions?
The same thing happened to Anna Nicole. Everyone was worried about her, everyone thought she needed help, but no one steps up to be responsible until there's corpses littering the ground.
It just amazes me...

It isn't a tragedy when a thought out, planned killing spree is executed. This kid knew what he was doing.
They said that he constantly spewed violent remarks and scared people to the point that they were afraid to be around him. Had something even been done about THAT, I have a suspicion that at least SOMETHING could have been done.
With all the 'facts' we've been given, I can say with 100% certainty that people were negligent about the situation and simply brushed it off as another useless individual in society.
I think it's about time for people to take responsibility and open their eyes and not just rub it off like it was an accident.
A car sliding off a road in snow is an accident. Something slipping on a wet floor is an accident.
A crazed, mentally ill individual with two guns and a plan to massacre a school is no accident.
Don't resort to insults, it's petty and shows you have no basis for your arguments.

This was said by a student who goes to VT:
When I first heard about the multiple shootings at Virginia Tech yesterday, my first thought was about my friends, and my second thought was "I bet it was Seung Cho."
Cho was in my playwriting class last fall, and nobody seemed to think much of him at first. He would sit by himself whenever possible, and didn't like talking to anyone. I don't think I've ever actually heard his voice before. He was just so quiet and kept to himself. Looking back, he fit the exact stereotype of what one would typically think of as a "school shooter" - a loner, obsessed with violence, and serious personal problems. Some of us in class tried to talk to him to be nice and get him out of his shell, but he refused talking to anyone. It was like he didn't want to be friends with anybody. He just came to class every day and submitted his work on time, as I understand it.

You wouldn't call buying a firearm 1 month prior, buying ammunition. Loading that gun, walking into a classroom & dorm, and aiming the gun at the bodies of humans isn't a plan?
It's call premeditated murder by the law, and by that law, it is stated that the individual knows what they are doing, they have a plan, and they execute that plan, be it successful or not.

The guy was crazy not stupid. You are right he had a plan, and it worked. The entire thing was well thought out and executed with great care. And all the signs were there that could have stopped this. This whole thing didn't have to happen. People just don't want to get involved any more. But after the fact and now that all those people are dead inculding the gunman everyone wants to be involved.
