You bet he is scary. Get in the way of his BMW on the way to loot the national treasure each week and you could turn up dead. This is the same behavior exhibited in Detroit and New Orleans by their respective mayors. Whereas, General for Life, exhaulted fearless leader, lion of the plain, slayer of dragons and dispenser of sperm to virgins or whatever his name is, can simply steal without fear of the FBI.
My big surprise with this story is that the loonie left has not started posting blame for Bush and Cheney. The criminals need money and since fearless fosdick takes it all, crime becomes acceptable. Pick any place in black Africa, inject boat loads of money, then standback. The results are always the same. In the exact same place when the emergency food aid from America comes rolling in, what happens. You have to see it for yourself, corn meal is what Viagra is made from. Two weeks after the food arrives, nearly every female is pregnant. Go figure!

Aug. 19, 2006, 10:40 p.m.You've got to go to the state department's advice page for U.S. citizens planning to travel to Nigeria (or any foreign country for that matter). It says most job offers to U.S. citizens inviting them to come work in Nigeria are kidnap set-ups, where you're kept for ransome from your family. That's just one example of a Nigerian kidnap scheme, but due to the Nigerian kidnappers' unions, professional organizations, and schools; Americans are advised to avoid travel to Nigeria at all costs.

Aug. 20, 2006, 11:37 a.m.It's about time someone did something about the scamming and kidnapping in Nigeria, It has become an acceptable "occupation" in certain parts of society. Let's just hope the mentality of isn't so imbedded that the problem can't be fixed. UBCONFUSE: I'm a liberal and don't see what this has to do with American politics at all much less the President and Cheney. If you want to read something truly "loony" I would refer you to your cornmeal equals viagra and pregnant africans take.

Actually if the people involved are who I think they are, couldn't be sure from the article itself, the kidnappings are more of a political nature. This group has more in common with the Shining Path then it does with the Purple Gang. There are opposed to the government and are waging a low level insurgency for control of the oil fields. The kidnappings are to raise funds for their operations.
