"I didn't believe what I saw," Boyle said Thursday. "I didn't believe it until my wife said something, and I was just like, 'Oh my God.' You think things like that only happen in movies...."

Well the ending kind of sucked. To think that after all that pain they both were at fault. The driver had a suspended license and the boy didn't have enough common sense to try and stay visible. Ah well I hope he lives.

I can see if it was the back end of the car. Giving The right circumstances and with a little extra weight training I could probably lift the back of a Camaro ( 6'2" 215).

But this guy lifted the front of the car. It definately is a miracle that this guy just happened to be going by.

Good point. I know a man who was in a car accident and his steering bars were completely frozen, and because of addrenaline, he bent steel to save a teenager in danger of his vehicle. This man was not a weight lifter or any sort of muscle man. He did not work out and was not built with extraordinary power. Something happened that gave him the ability to bend steel that day. Afterward, however, his arm muscles were completely torn up.

You know althought this story is amazing and this guy is a hero, How much credit do paramedics and EMTs get. Whenever something happens you always see police and the fire dept on the news. Were kinda used to it people thinking that we know nothing and not knowing we exsist at all, until were needed. This man did something spectacular and I agree adreniline can do amazing things to the body.

A classic example of the "Flight or Fight" syndrome where the body releases a surge of adrenaline which causes ordinary humans to temporarily have superhuman strength or speed to either save a life of a loved one or flee from a dangerous situation. It is remarkable how this man was able to summon this abilty to save a total stranger though.

Strength training has nothing to do with this. :) Years ago my classmate was in a car accident.....it rolled, she didn't have her belt on and was pinned under the vehicle. Her grandmother lifted the vehicle off of her enough so that she could pull herself out. It's pure adrenelin and Divine intervention. However.....grandmother's arms were very sore afterwards!

Police officers, paramedics, firemen, etc...don't usually get credit for performing life-saving acts because this is what they are trained for and get paid for. It's their occupation, their life. They love what they do. They still need to hear appreciation though, because it does take a special type of person to work in those professions. In some cases, they put their lives on the line for perfect strangers.

Not so, but adrenaline will do miracles for the strength of a normal body. Then the endorphines kick in and you don't even realize how much harm you have done to your body, but you know that you have saved the life of another, and as froggy57 mentioned, it's usually an adult trying to save a younger person's life.

Perhaps it's a religious miracle, perhaps it's just a supremely natural reaction to a stressful situation, but either way, despite the sucky ending siting both of them, it's a heck of a story.

you all gotta remember he wasnt lifting the approx 3500lb car over his head, he lifted one end up while the other end was flat on the ground. Its still a lot of weight but not superhuman or paranormal. Im a MMA fighter and i come across a lot of professional power lifters, body builders and stong men (competitors) and they do things more severe (of course i realize they train for it). My point is just that God didnt interviene and give this guy supernatural strength....adrenaline and mind over matter is a wonderful thing

MMM.. my first thought is adreneline.. 300 pounds and a common enough thing, human emotion. But I believe miracles do happen everyday. The ratio of weight to weight is 9 to one.

That would be quite a feat for a professional strong man. Any

Adrenline can give a person ABNORMAL strength for just a matter of seconds before you realize what is going on. and chucknorris, come on! chuck norris is a loser.
