July 29, 2006, 7:51 p.m.Quote: " Contaminating the ocean is very uncalled for."
War is hell, get used to it. If the laundry heads had their way your dick would glow in the dark, talk about an ecological disaster, a dirty bomb in your backyard would make that oil slick look like an oil spot on your driveway by comparison.

July 29, 2006, 7:51 p.m.Who does Israel think they are? The poor gov't of Lebanon was just minding their own business, looking the other way while they really are supporting terrorist of Syria and claiming along with the terrorist of Palestine that "they just can't do anything with these bad boys."
Well if one gov't "can't" stop a group within their border from shooting rockets into another country(Israel) then that country has a right to defend themselves and to stop the murdering of their people anyway they can. Oh by the way the Arabs would not stoop to spreading oil in the Med to create an international incident would they? Much like Sadaam did in 1991 to try and get world sympathy.

July 29, 2006, 8:35 p.m.To the people who are concerned about the price of gas, shame on you, you are selfish. ALL war sucks, it is also ALL unjustified. Wars are created by governments and people with power and money. War is good for the economy - thats all. If you ask anyone in a war torn country what they think, most of them will reply 'just to live in peace'. Thats what everyone wants. A few zealots with rockets shoot up a country and the country reacts. Sound familiar? We did the same to Afghanastan 6 years ago. We decimated the place. Japan in in 1942. No civilians wanted to be bombed or their flesh melted off of them, did they? Until people in general can get it that we ALL have to share this rock, things like this are going to continue and they are only going to get worse. Stop being so damned selfish and start looking at the larger picture-there was a shooting here in Seattle yesterday, at the Jewish Federation offices, downtown. A man came in and shot 6 women. Americans-not Israelis.

July 29, 2006, 8:45 p.m.Of course Israel is going to bomb power plants and oil tanks. That would be part of the strategy to win.
Why do liberals always side with terrorist, criminals and dictators?
Amazing !!!

July 29, 2006, 8:57 p.m.What a catastrophe. Whoever chose to bomb that site with oil tanks just 80 feet from the sea should be fired and sent over to help clean up the mess. It's just unbelievable. Has anyone found out if the Israeli gov't is going to help clean up?

July 29, 2006, 9:09 p.m.The article states this happened on July 14th, and the one tank burned out, and the other is threatened. Be careful how you read an article...

July 29, 2006, 9:09 p.m.It's a pity that people are so hyped up about the government feuds that no one will even care about this disaster.

July 29, 2006, 9:12 p.m.It appears Israel is willing to take down innocent people as well as ruin the Mediterranean and its own coastline and spites its own self. When will these people learn the effects of their wrong doing?
-

July 29, 2006, 9:13 p.m.As far as I know, Hezbollah hideouts are NOT in power plants. This is totally uncalled for--Israel's initial goal in this offensive now seems to be long forgotten; are they now bent on destroying Lebanon's infrastructure altogether?
It is unconscionable to purposely bomb a plant that will undoubtedly spill its contents into the Mediterranean Sea. Environmental disasters of this magnitude are NOT just to be considered the "normal" results of war. It's immoral to have so little regard for the resources we all need to survive.
Besides the immorality of this, guess who's gonna end up paying for much of this mess? The U.S. taxpayers, that's who.... But that's the least of my concerns.

"Win" what? Last time I looked, Lebanon was a democracy. Just ask bush. And if it wasn't, you might want to ask the little weed why the hell he ignored it, and said terrorism was confined to Iraq. Damned moron!
Why do liberals always side with terrorist, criminals and dictators?>>>>>
They don't. They're just able to walk and chew gum at the same time, and look at things critically. Not to worry though. Fools will catch up, and evolve in a century or two.
Amazing !!!>>>>>
Yeah, ÇONS really are 'amazing' in their short sighted view of the world.

July 29, 2006, 9:18 p.m.COOKIES, that was just stupid. Of course they're gonna hit the power plants. It's called strategy. An oil spill is nothing compared to the loss of life. Both are necessary however.

July 29, 2006, 9:19 p.m.Excuse me but anybody who is siding with Israel (our largest welfare state) ought to read up on history to get the full effect. The Talmud was something made up by Rabbis. The torah is their original book and a good book at that. When you make up religion and diss on the constitution like Bush did when he stated "it is just a piece of paper" you see where I am going with this. People who make themselves up without any guidelines as to morality. justice, and fear of God himself deserve whatever they get.

July 29, 2006, 9:22 p.m.SIRAT, anyone siding with ISRAEL. Every American should be. Before Sept.11, Hezbollah was responsible for killing more Americans than any other organization. Give 'em hell Israel.

July 29, 2006, 9:23 p.m.Now you see who the REAL ENEMY OF THE WORLD IS ..it has been like this since Moses...These "people" can't afford someone being better than them, having better things than they do...no wonder they were and still are hated by almost eveyone. I mean, who loves them?

July 29, 2006, 9:23 p.m.It’s the Muslims that are incapable of compassion not the Jews.
The Islamic Socialists are raised to hate anyone that is not a Muslim!!!
We need to stop the terrorist!! There is no negotiating with people that are inhuman!! The only thing they understand is force and I’m glad that Israel understands that.
The Muslims brought this on themselves; they are just reaping what they sew
