Clever PR stunt, but man, in the end I believe it's going to do more damage for Netscape than good.

It's sad to see Netscape so shamelessly copying its competitors... sadder to see it doing such a poor job... and even sadder to see that it needs to pay people to submit to its site.

I think it's odd that Jason wants to pay an elite few an over-the-top salary instead of figuring out a way to reward people for actual performance.

I came to view this site because I heard it was funny how bad of a ripoff it is of digg. I signed up just so I could comment on it. This will be the only time I sign into this site.

Taking the top 100 posters from Digg won't hurt Digg or help Netscape. The main people who still visit Netscape are people like my grandma who don't know how to change their homepage.

Who is accusing whom of copying whom? I don’t know all the details of your sissy fight, but message boards have been around a lot longer than Digg or Netscape. So, if Netscape copied Digg, get a lawyer. And judging by that hackers that are causing the java script errors on Netscape, I think we know who the real a**holes are.

This site is such a bad rip off. And it is also butt-ugly. You people who use this crappy site should be insulted that this Jason guy thinks he needs to buy better users than you...

Sorry, but I think I'm falling over Netscape user Irma from Antwerp. That gal has a real dark side.

I think the move by Netscape to promote this site was some good work. I for one would not have tried it if I didn't read about all this on Digg. Now I have tried Netscape and like it more than Digg so far.

                          Jason Calcanis and his fanboys?

                            “Jason Calcanis and his fanboys?”

No, just someone who can think for himself and not be told what’s cool and what sucks. However, if you are a typical poster on Digg, I’ll pass.

Christ Almighty! Are we just expected to believe that Digg invented the concept of the message board and didn’t copy anyone else? Grow a brain man!
