It seems to me that distroying such a beautiful country as Lebanon is in the hands of Israel, Syria and Iran. Lovely to see a provoked hit on the Lebanese infrastructure and tourism .

Lebanon as we have seen in the past will rise again but they need a new gov. that is not the puppet of the Syrians.

By the way, get rid of the head of Hizbollah he's nuisance!

Poor Lebanon, being the victom of State terrorism by Israel. Actually, it is SAD how the Holy Land has been utterly defiled by extremist, Jewish and Muslim extremist (even though that land has always been a battlefield). Now Holy Land should be called Land of the Damned... And to those people that still refuse to see that the Israelites act just like the people they condemn, with the difference that their public figures actually wear normal shirts and ties... Did anyone watch a video on CNN of Israel's defence minster or something (a bearded guy with white shirt) talk? In my mind, the image of Zarqawi, or anyone of those "terrorist" came to mind. They are basically of the same line of thought: crush enemy, crush all, bring fight and finish it, etc.

ya right, You guys have to b kidding me. All you hear is Israel this and Israel that. What about the fact that Hezzbolah ran into Israel and kidnapped two soldiers on Israeli territory and then fired fifity rockets into Israel. I guess to you liberals that is not an act of war and Israel is at fault for defending itself. And you know what, if they stop defending themseleves then these same groups are going to do the same thing until Israel is destroyed. So then what? Isreal's gone and do you think the terrorsit are going to stop there? Nope. THey will come for America like the have in the past and you liberals can go out and make peace with them. Then they will chop your head off, and all the rest of the people who understand who the enemy really is, will b fighting for our country. One last point: if it wasn't for America or Isreal, then Palestine wouldn't exist. USA and Isreal give the Palestinians billions of dollars while the rest of Middle East only supports them as their pawns.

It’s a pity that Hezbollah don’t operate in Syrian territory.

Here it comes all the hypocrisy in the region.

Since Syria armed and finance Hezbollah, why not let them to operate in Syrian territory? I really hope that after all, this time, Lebanon will free for good.

Yes, is a well known strategy from Hezbollah, to shield them selves with civil population.

Israel Air force has been dropping papers telling to civil population to quit the area.

This time, the war can’t be stopped before the complete destruction of the military and political capability of Hezbollah. Other wise, all of the suffered caused in Lebanon is for nothing on one hand. On the other, Israel will again be the easy target for the Syrian Iranian missiles. This situation is unacceptable.

It will bring a lot of suffering for many decent people.

Israel has already destroyed 30 bridges in Lebonan according to a CNN article today. What we are actually seeing is an intense effort by Israeli forces to destroy Lebanon's whole infrastructure as a prelude to invading and subjugating the country. The intent would be to then crack down on dissent and divide up the country as they have Palestine. One might wonder why they would do this, but one must realize that both Lebanon and Syria are part of the land "God chose for the Jews" (See the Old Testament) and the Orthodox Jewish people want that land back.

Our Ultra-Christian Administration is not interested in interfering--expect perfunctorily--because the whole issue can endlessly esculate. That is "good news" to the "Born Again" running our country because they are looking for the "End Times" since, in their minds, it will bring back Christ and then "God's Kingdom on Earth." Both Jews and Muslims fanatics believe a similar scenario.

Hi An eyeforaneye, as I said before, Syria would love to go back and annex Lebanon. It is their dream. On the other side you have a big bad boy(Israel) who is afraid to take it to Syria and hits the little brother instead.

We need to bring all these people together and make a big bonfire with them as wood.

The majority of the Europeans(I don't know about England)!! think that.

We were wondering: It took so long to rebuild Lebanon from the last war, is Israel going to pay for all the destruction? Is Lebanon going to sue Israel in the international courts to get some money back for the infrastructure after Hizbollah is terminated?

                                      THE WOMEN

[4.89] They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah's way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.

                                      Have a good day.

Humanpurpose - Why on earth would Israel want to "invade and subjugate" Lebanon? If Israel just wanted to seize territory it could easily have done it by now. Their armed forces have the capability. Why do it this way? They remember well what happened in the 80's when they occupied southern Lebanon. What makes you think people will really believe these assertions you are making?

Put the bong down. That stuff you're smoking is interfereing with your capacity for rational thought.

                                            Arguments to follow:

                                            1. There are hundreds of Lebanese prisoners in Israeli jails, abducted hen Israel was occupying south Lebanon for 18 years. Israel still refuses to start negotiating their liberation. Sounds like Israel starte the abduction thing here.

                                              2. Hizbollah warned Israel that it will abduct Soldiers (Not civilians !) when the occasion arises to trade them for the prisoners

                                              3. Within few hours from making the prisoners, Hizbollah's chief publicly made a proposal to RETURN them to Israel, and asked for Israel to negotiate the conditions of their return.

                                              4. Hizbollah DID NOT take any military action against Israel after kidnapping the soldiers until 5:

                                              5. Israel immediately started bombing civilian infrastructure of LEBANON, NOT OF HIZBOLLAH !!!! this includes the Civil airport of Beirut, the bridges, the electricity plants etc... 250 Civilians dead, 8 Canadians Dead, 4 Hizbollah Fighters dead, so either Israelis are damn blind or they are doing it on purpose to hit the wrong target.

                                              6. Hizbollah started firing rocket on Israel AFTER Israel bombed the CIVIL INTERNATIONAL AIrport of Beirut.

                                                7. don't forget that it took Israel 18 years to abide by the ONU resolution asking it to free south Lebanon, and they only did it after losing some 1000 soldiers in guerilla attacks. So I honestly suppose that they would still be there without the resistance.

                                                8. On their way out of Lebanon, Israel left a large number of land mines, and they still refuse to give location to the ONU, just to keep kids dying when playing there.

                                                My analysis:

Israel is doing anything it can to destroy Lebanon, and make sure it looks as if they wanted to get rid of Hizbollah. But god forbid, if they DO get rid of Hizbollah, then the Lebanese gov could really take control, and Lebanon really get back to its old Brilliant Democracy.

But that is dangerous since the Lebanese are the only people in the region, smart enough to take the Israelis in any business field head on and win the economy war.

Unfortunately, Lebanese have always been politically and militairily weak. Israel will make sure it stays this way.

Israel gave up the buffer zone in southern Lebanon years ago because they were 'promised' that it would never be used as haven for terrorists and rocket launchers. They're just cleaning up after Lebanon's failure to make it happen. I hope they kill em all.
