July 7, 2006, 7:37 a.m.Thank GOD that we have a President that is not ruled by polls or political party, but says, means, and does according to what is "termed" as being proper for the country and the people who live therein.
An example of this is his decision to stay the course in Iraq instead of pulling up steaks (cut and run) when things did not work exactily as many in America would have wanted them to happen.
Of course, it was the "Political" appointie that disbanded both the army and police forces and by doing such left the military with having to completely rebuild, instead of starting with a strong nucleous and adding to and training it.
Of course, even though hundreds (500+) of weapons of mass destruction (chemical and bioligical) have been found, they don't count. Some say they are not lethal. Those who say they are no more dangerous than what most Americans have under their kitchen sinks, should be given a chance to inhale them!

July 7, 2006, 7:48 a.m.Of course, this is the typical "Bushie" B.S.answer that we are so accoustomed to hearing.Sad to hear about your brainwashing.

July 7, 2006, 7:48 a.m.The problem with Bush is this. He never listens to what anyone else has to say. It's not necessarily that he has to do what everyone else say, but at least listen. And when it comes to an idea that contradicts what he thinks????? That's put even further out of the relm of consideration!!!! He always thinks he's right and everyone else is wrong, he thinks he's the smartest person in the world and it is just that belief alone that makes him the most ignorent.

July 7, 2006, 8:07 a.m.Polls are what I thought got him in the WHITE HOUSE. so he should care very much about Polls, and if not? Polls did not get him there.Simply what kind of politician don't care about what his country thinks of them other that a DICTATOR?? WE ARE BRAINDEAD IT"S BEEN WAASHED FOR CENTURIES.

July 7, 2006, 8:11 a.m.He would rather be right than popular? Sad to say he is neither one. He should have said I would rather have my own way than to be right or popular.

July 7, 2006, 8:14 a.m.This President(?) sends our incredible and honorable troops to Iraq after 9/11 and lets Osma Bin Lauden go. Yes folks they've announed they've stopped looking for Osma....is that a "flip flop" or a "Cut and Run"? If we spent the same amount of time and troops and money looking for the man that killed all those people on 9/11 we would have found him. That's what you get when you elect a failed businessman with an "iffy" military background. But what did we get, a guy who plants terrorist seeds around the world against us....

July 7, 2006, 8:27 a.m.Dear "dtress1d":
After reading your post I have only one question:
What color is the sky in your world?

July 7, 2006, 8:44 a.m.He would rather be right than popular? Wasn't he appointed this position by the people of this country? (technically he wasn't in the 2000 election, so he really isn't president. This explains his actions) 62% of americans disagree with Bush's actions. He is not doing his job. If any one of us responding to this had that kind of approval rating at our places of work, we would be fired. While 62% of americans may disagree with Bush, 38% admit to using crack in their lives. How about that.

July 7, 2006, 8:52 a.m.Ah, Ha! Yet again Bush, Jr doth utter sounds and let appear his tremendous intellect and savvy!!! It is sadly obvious that this human - The *ahem* President of the United States - is blissfully and dangerously ignorant of anything other than himself and his single-minded, unwavering belief in the rectitude of his actions.
'I would rather be right than popular...' indicates how Bush, Jr. is a woefully out-of-touch president. As Shango knowledgeably points out... who/what got this ignoramus of a human in the White House in the 1st place? Not worrying about his being rich enough to buy 2 tenures in the White House, one must concede that somewhere along the line, during his 2000 and 2004 campaigning, he had to please and be POPULAR to a certain degree to have had any chance of making it into the White House.
Diplomatically and intellectually, this individual is America's WORST president ever in 230 years of mighty US history. What a pitiful state of affairs.

July 7, 2006, 9:04 a.m.geedub is a great president and history will bear this out. the bush haters wouldn't agree with him if he said the world is round. there are people who want to slaughter you, your family and your friends, and president bush is taking the fight to them instead of waiting to react to the next attack on america. the bush haters just don't get it. they would rather hate bush than the folks who want to murder every american they can find.

July 7, 2006, 9:12 a.m.All the negative responses of Bush, do not contain any fact and are very wrong on their statements. Bush has always said from the begining that "we are at war with terror," Wall Street Journal 13 Sept. In the speech given that the quote came from Bush said that it goes beyond Osama Bin Laden and if we are to have any resolve, we need to pull this problem out by the roots. WMDs were found and more information is being declassified to further substantiate WMDs found as well as greater quantities. This info was classified by the liberals, Congressional Quaterly, see the article for motion on opening to further delassify info on WMDs, motioned by Sen Rick Santorum. France, Russia, and China would not get involved in the war because Iraq was a good customer of weapons for them, Trechory by Bill Gertz. Can ANYONE Tell me why Bush was wrong and prove it, I think not. Come on Liberals take your best shot! All you can do is incoherently ramble spewing lies from yourselves or others.

July 7, 2006, 9:15 a.m.Thats is BushS problem he thinks he always right. Never admits his mistakes. We need to get of Iraq. Why arent we after Saudi Arabi? Werent most of the terrorist from there? Its because Bush has there back and they feed us oil in which makes Bush money.

factsonly
July 7, 2006, 9:23 a.m.People keep talking about these polls and I don't believe them to be completely acurate and in fact somewhat biased, because the questions ask are sometimes worded in such a way to give the appearance of nagativity or what ever the biased individual who words tem to appear as he pleases. But let's say that they are correct, if you have a children who give you a bad poll does that mean you are not doing what is right for them or that you are in a position to possibly know more than they do. People are so uninformed these days, but have positions and opinions about everything. So sad that so many people choose not to educate them selves. For those people, I say be silent and let those of us who really want to be informed and be involved run the country.

July 7, 2006, 9:28 a.m.Rushran proves my point! It is Seria as well as a few from other areas. And what Mistakes must he admit. Even if he does make mistakes, he has never proclaimed that he does not make mistakes. Why should we get out of Iraq, if you are interested in stopping the terrorist then you should want to ensure that Iraq is secure before we leave and risk losing all that we have fought for.

July 7, 2006, 9:28 a.m.Americans have fairly spoken (thru numerous Polls) and Pres Bush has undeniably lost their confidence. He should care about that since that's the way our Government works. Denial of this duty carries consequences. I believe that the passion people feel about him comes from his arrogance in not listening (to his aids, the American People, etc.). My comments contain no hatred, no bitterness, just the inescapable truth..............Mr. Bush is highly unpopular for so many reasons, and either Impeachment or 2008 will relieve this.

July 7, 2006, 9:29 a.m.dtress 1 d,
could you tell me where those weapons of mass destruction were found?
you let me know and I'll pass on the info to the bush administration, i hear they would KILL for that kind of information
-

factsonly
July 7, 2006, 9:43 a.m.ZMAN the only truth you have told is that Bush is unpopular in the polls, which as I have stated, that does not mean as much as you may think. JEFF181, as a vet who has returned from Iraq, I've seen the very weapons dtress 1 d is talking about, which is released in some formely classified documents by Sen Rick Santorum, and there is so much more I'd like to tell you, but I think people will find out in time. I see you as a close minded person who will not give God himself the time of day if he talked Republican.

July 7, 2006, 10:06 a.m.Factsonly. You're right!!!!! But you're wrong if you think Bush is solving or even coming close to solving the problem of "terrorism." First of all the war on terror goes beyond Osama Bin Laden, but past him????? I don't think so. and that's what Bush has done just gone past him. As for his approach to fighting the war on terrorism. Finding and killing terrorists is fine and what we should be doing. But only doing that is like pulling only the top of the weed out of the ground. It just grows back again. which is waht happened in Iraq with the killing of Al Zarqawi the weed just grew back and replaced the one we killed, the root is still healthy. The United Sates has shown absolutely no interest in reaching those who are thinking of becoming terrorists. The way to do that is to change our image. And that means changing our behavior. That means taking a more fair stance on the Israeli Palestinian issue, both sides are wrong. Terrorism is about the Israeli Palestinian issue.

July 7, 2006, 10:10 a.m.Also Guys, this mornings new about a " Holland Tunnel Bomb plot" I am very skeptical about. About 10 years ago there was a Holland Tunnel bomb plot that was supposedly stopped I wonder if they are rehashing an old story to make it look like they are accomplishing something. It's so sad when there isn't a governemnt on the face of the earth that I can trust and believe. Where have all the honest a decent people gone???????

July 7, 2006, 10:20 a.m.I agree with Rushran, Mr.Bush has done nothing for our country but kill our kids, and raise prices, and people loosing there jobs, but my guess is that Mr Bush is getting rich off these oil companies..as far as i`m cocerned he`s a sick puppy...
-

Lavb5474
July 7, 2006, 10:22 a.m.Another thought here guys. People seem to think that we are accompishing something in the war on terrorism since we have not had an attack in US soil. Well guy our men and women in uniform are victims of terrorism everday. They are getting the crap bombed out of them. It doesn't matter that they are in the military they are still everyday Americans we see on the street. So when we say it's better to have the terrorists in Iraq, are we saying it's better that Americans in the military be victims of terrorism than us civilians???????
-

rushran
July 7, 2006, 10:26 a.m.Why isnt doing anything to the oil companies with gas prices going near $4 a gallon the average person cant afford it. But i guess give the millionaires a bigger tax break will help the economy out. as the average person gets squeezed out of buying a home and other big ticket items. How about noone under $50000 pays no income tax and get rid of all the loop holes the rich have in paying taxes and have a flat tax of 15% after $50000 that should be enough to cover any defeceit.
